How exactly are Goldman Sachs going to buy link?

As you continue to think about the answer to that question, understand this. Sergey works for Swift. Swift are having him shill to Goldman Sachs.

The answer to whatever conclusions you may come to, from any piece of this information, is the signal.

I am not here to debate those conclusions, because I truly do not know. I leave that up for other people to decide, for now.

I find it consistent with my own thinking, that you were only able to produce a bullish output No matter how I played each and every scenario out, given the two conditions in the op. I was unable to find a bearish flaw.

the copium since day 1 is that banks will buy our bags outright and cause the singularity because they need access to cl services. this is unlikely given that banks already see investment in technical adoption as a risk-on buy-in (a sunk cost). why would they further sink funds into a volatile token on top of an already volatile (read: uncertain) tech investment?
to my mind, and according to wp 1.0, it makes more sense that cll maintain past course and subsidize link service usage both technically and payment wise (either gift tokens, or accept otc flat rate payment for service, and handle sla payments to dons), except this time for banks.
in this most likely scenario, the banks come to rely on the service, and eventually generate a return on technical investment. the more dependent they become on the service, the more likely they are to accept the fully fleshed tokenomics model as an acceptable market to interact with in order to fulfill their dependencies. i guess the idea is that they will be at some point happy to participate in open market Link purchases/speculation i.e. step in as strongly incentivized demand.
regarding your post, i think you take explicit shilling to banks, and evidence like the anz poc, as a sign that the infrastructure is ready and the banks are ready to become dependent on that infrastructure to make money.
the problem is that it's not clear how long it will take for banks to develop the required dependencies to justify open market purchases; it's been 4 years and original mainnet launch partners STILL do not have to do this, and it's extremely opaque which ones do (i'm not aware of who does, if anyone, tbqh. maybe GNS?)

i don't feel the bullish read you have here, it still hinges on several VERY unclear factors.

only thing i can think of is monitor on chain activity on ccip/staking and that would be the signal institutions i.e. are live, and goldman will have a node/accumulating staking for number go up up and beyond.

DTCC is related to Swift right? they were doing a test/POC, maybe when Swift/DTCC is live, goldman will flip the switch on, aka the signal

>> No.56372497

Have you guys maybe considered that, as everything has been confirmed 1000x, now is the time to just let it ride with Chainlink and put your attention into other things? What is even the point of even breadcrumbing any more, now that there is no longer any doubt?

I was there. The people shilling that “it is happening” are disingenuous. I am unironically an “insider” in the DA dept of a large bank. My friend, who was also there, did an AMA here and was banned from posting here, without reason (I can screen cap what he sent me). Chainlink investors moderate this website apparently as they’d like to moderate what content is “truthful” on the internet. The OP of this thread is trying to be cryptic and string more people along to invest. It’s all quite tiresome really.
