what the fuck do you think option dealer gamma is retard? yes that shit is a self-fulfilling prophecy; thats how the market fucking works

If i wasnt taking a shit right now and had something better to do i wouldnt even waste my time explaining this to your faggot ass:

there are 2 hedging activity zones for options dealers, CTAs, and vol-control hedge funds:
Positive gamma and negative gamma

Positive gamma means dealers will buy the dip and sell the rip, causing a revert to the mean effect with lower volatility
Negative gamma means dealers will buy the rip and sell the dip, causing a pile on effect with higher volatility

We are and have been for the past 10 trading days in negative gamma zone. There is a “flip line” on the SPX that determines when dealers will be in positive or negative gamma zones
>inb4 how do we know which zone dealers are currently in and whats the flip line?

Made a KR run
Since I'm now unemployed, I had to stop buying snacks and just stick to food for meals. I've been eating a lot of ramen noodles, but they were out of the flavors I like (and they were on sale too!). So, I went to the fancy ramen section and they were out of my favorite flavor there too... so I had to buy the Spicy Singapore flavor, and it was pretty good but kinda spicy.

Long COST and USFD.

My unemployment was get huge #10 can of cheese sauce and a giant bag of nacho chips. Open the can, put a foodsaver bag it over it, flip, cut the bottom off the can so all the cheese comes out. Seal the other end of the bag and then clip a hole in the corner. Cheese sauce pipette bag. Pour over chips and put w/e other toppings, 30 sec in microwave. Very good, quick, and cheap as hell. Basically lived on that for 5 months.

20 year bonds are the most liquid because of all the ETFs like TLT that give you exposure to that duration. More liquid markets tend to more accurately reflect the true price, and so the 20 year is being shorted into oblivion, which is where the rest of the bond market will be headed soon.

I come from evangelical jews that disgusted me and made me hate religion for most of my life before I had spent long enough peering into the matter to figure out jews are just jews and some of them are shitty and most of them aren't. It's like that for all the big religions. It's also why I get pissed the fuck off when people keep spamming "muh jooz" or "muh muzzie" or "muh jeezus" shitposting to just dump on some group they don't like as a whole because it's regressive and retarded and that's not even the point of the board to begin with. You cannot separate politics from finance entirely but you can have a more nuanced take than "the people I don't like are why everything sucks and I'm totally not responsible at all for my life sucking, you should have the same positions I do if you're based and tradpilled and agree haha".

not true anon. the 20 year bond is not "TLT". the 20 year duration bond was reintroduced to market in 2020, after being decommissioned in 1986. TLT has existed since 2002 and is mostly 30 year treasury bills. it buys 30 year treasuries and sells them after 10 years. the 20 year bond has a hump because it is illiquid, not traded much and most institutions like insurance companies arent exposed to it.

>> No.56361661

>>56361654
It doesn't matter when it was created. All those 20 year bond ETFs (there's at least five I can think of) give you easy exposure to the 20 year. It's dumping because it's the most easily shortable of all the bond durations.

it gives you exposure to 30 year treasuries....it shows that in the holding. they bought 30 year treasuries in 2013 that are maturing in 2043. there is not a single 20 year bond in TLT.

>> No.56361684

>>56361673
Bonds with the same maturation date will have the same yield. Bonds that were issued as 30 year bonds 10 years ago will have the same market price as new 20 year bonds. They compete with each other in the market and are more or less fungible. The maturation date is the only thing that matters and the bond market is going to zero.

but they dont buy 20 years anon, TLT does not contain them. therefore you are not shorting the 20 year treasury with TLT. the reason the 20 year bond has a little bump and a higher yield on the yield curve has nothing to do with any of your reasons. it has to do with it being reintroduced after 34 years and the market for it being undeveloped. there's less of a flight-to-safety being priced in the 20 year therefore yields are higher. most corporations stick to 2s, 3s, 5s, 10s, and 30s since they fit into duration buckets most institutions are used to. credit issuance and secondary trading is much heavier at the 10 and 30 points than 20 year.

It seems like I could just sit pretty in money market and collect 5%, then when the Jerome starts "thinking about thinking about lowering rates" I just jump into short term bonds and continue collecting 5%+appreciation, then a few months later switch this to medium/long term bonds for the same thing. Hold for the rate lowering cycle so probably ~12mo and jump back to equities after Jerome has crashed them.

How could this strategy go wrong and why is anyone holding other assets right now. If I were to rent out my own house it would be like 2% ROI, sharpe ratio for stocks way lower than risk free 5% backed by the US military.

The simplest, easiest, most tactically functional Way is to just let your cash sit in a HOOD Gold account getting 4.9% daily accrued/monthly paid while it awaits your moment's nootice trigger pull if you happen to spot a good invoostment/trade opportunity. This, of course, requires you to have enough capital for that interest to pay the $5 monthly Gold fee and then some. The payouts are on the last day of the month and I bought Gold on the first day of a month so it always comes out of the interest that just fresh dropped.

Usually this is how tech companies work: all the white people work in marketing / sales, Indians/Azns work on the technical part. I bet that if you had another turbocringe presentation from tech companies these days, you'd see mostly white people there. It's just how it is, the marketing/sales end is super fucking white.

META won't crash as long as Boomers and Instathots exist. NFLX is as stable as treasuries. And China risk to NVDA also applies to the trillions in treasuries and agency bonds they hold.

Speaking of oil/gas/dividends, I'm not seeing PBR mentioned. I recommended it to a friend a couple of months ago and he's quite pleased, but it's maybe a little on the high side for a substantial buy in at the moment.

EC, VIST, and YPF are some other Latinx American oil & gas plays if you want tickers to look at.

Yes PBR is also a great dividend oil stock and quite cheap to boot, I think it's like 3-4 times undervalued compared to XOM in an EV/FCF basis if memory serves me right. But that one does hold some political baggage as it's a NOC so Brazilian politics could end up messing with shareholder returns or the share price. But if you can stomach that risk it's a great hold. Their offshore outlook is perhaps second to none

John Rocker felt a wave of nostalgia sweep over him as he entered the place where it all started. The sight of his favorite table and stool set brought back some good memories. He was never sure why he was so attracted to them, they just seemed comfy. Daughter also seemed to like them as well. The wife amused herself in the kitchen.

Buy oil.

Oil for long term investing. Low PE ratios. Supportive dividends to provide floor. Generous geopolitics. Excellent profit margins. If oil doesnt go under $45 a barrel US oil makes money.
