Exactly 60 years ago, the Yom Kippur War of 1973 (October 6 to October 25) started.

In the next 7 years...
>Interest Rates went from 6.5 to 18
>Crude went from $5 to $50
>Uranium from $3 to $110
>Gold from $42.22 to $875

Stocks lost almost 50% the following 52 weeks but ended about even after 7 years.

Eskay is another example of how GV operates. 2 yrs ago it was one of his largest positions and he pumped the shit out of every news release like it was the best gold AND silver discovery ever. He quietly exited leaving his tard followers, and Crescat, holding the bag. Crescat is still balls deep and QH hopeful for this drill season, "These guys have what we think is the next Eskay Creek. There's a lot of good things to come here." Eskay wouldn't pay the jew at CRUX for a promo interview so he put out a hit piece on them. That seems to be around the time GV sold.

Guys

Let me prefice this by saying that I dont know shit about stocks.

I want to go long on oil/gas though. Preferably a leveraged asset, and to buy options. I'm talking 5x-10x leveraged plus options on top of that, so if oil goes up 10% I'm up 500% kind of scenario.

Anyone have any ideas? I only have Robinhood but can get another brokerage acc open if it leads to more gains.

We all know what's coming to oil within the next 3 months lol

I am actually getting kind of concerned, because this style of mineralization looks really nuggety compared with their drill results. Deeper down the gold is more disseminated through the quartz, this surface ore looks a lot like what you see at Brucejack in the Golden Triangle or parts of the Red Lake district in Ontario. Its fantastic looking ore, but will its grade be stable enough to work with? I want to see some more shots of this material, its stunning but could be tricky to actually work on.

Also look at that clear mix of pyrite and visible gold, classic for this style of deposit! I bet this would make a fantastic counter top if polished!

that depends on what the major miners are using for energy. High energy prices in general suck for mining because everything needs fuel. However, a large number of miners are well on their way to full adoption of EVs for operations above and below ground. Many open pits are adding over head power setups on main haul roads for example, acting as boost assists for their vehicle fleets. Electric only helps so much though, especially if you dont have cheap hydro or other sources nearby.

The MA's don't look great on the daily but a bit better on the weekly, being above the 200wma which is turning up after a year of chopping so that's good, might help the triangle break upwards. RSI momentum is down so we'll see if it embeds or bounces out of oversold. Outside week down was the last bar so might still need to test the lower bollinger band on the weekly before going up (if it's going to)

Ultimately for something this small all that is really going to matter is how good the company os, which I've no idea, but not a terrible spot to buy if you have high expectations, though potential for a little more downside first, but again, news will overrule.

It's either the environmental permits going forward or TPR putting out news that moves the price in any meaningful way up.

The good miners will, that is very few of them. Look at how many companies are down 10-20% while GDX is up 15%. What US coal producers do you like?
I know you're very pro-Canada, which I don't mind, since I lived near the Canadian border for a few years earlier in life and still know many Canadians and like them.
Canada is an awesome country for mining and minerals.
But what US coal miner do you think are the best, however you want to define the best.
I respect your opinion.

>> No.56410259

>>56410105
i honestly dont know many US based coal miners, Peabody energy was one i always heard ok reviews from guys working in coal, but its really not a sector i keen much attention on down south of the border. Teck is the company think of when it comes to coal, because of their massive mines in the Northeast of BC and the Alberta border. I dont know the future of thermal coal, its not going away in the next 5 years unless regulations change drastically, but metallurgical coal is sticking around for the long run, we need it for steel. Thermal coal plants are starting to get retrofitted more towards gas I believe, and if memory serves operators are looking at buying "cleaner" coals on the market compared to lower grade material, so factor that into any company your looking at. Low grade coal isnt getting mined as much in NA anymore, but it still powers much of asias energy demands.
