reduce the amount of people in an area, and housing availability goes up, which means there will be more competition between home owners to either sell or rent. More competition = competitive pricing, and the quality of individual properties goes up.

Why do you think Nigyorkers can charge 2.6 million dollars for a shit ass decrepit condemned building without walls or a ceiling? Because that's just how short the supply of available properties is. If half the people in New York city left and moved to those middle of nowhere areas, the price of property in New York would drop dramatically.

its better to get a remote job, establish residency in a no income state and do feie with the irs and save $19k a year on fed taxes. do 6 months in a country that doesnt tax and another 6 is a different country that doesnt tax. spend $2k a month in rent there and you spent $0 on a house and rent, effectively. save up so when u do want to retire u can buy land all cash and finance construction loan to build a duplex and rent the other half to rent to some one to pay off property tax and food
