I have a slightly interesting theory: Since there has been an ungodly amount of synthetic shorts throughout the stock market company's may have seen rises in their stock values, idk which stocks specifically, as of late/sunce Jan 28th 2021 from their synthetic short coverings. Why they are doing their synthetic short coverings is so when GME does happen to MOASS at some point there won't be a metric fuckton of other synthetic shorts laying around which would nuke the market from all sides. If powers that be only have GME and maybe a couple of others that have crazy synthetics floating out there then that's way more manageable than say 100 companies all popping off.

Feel like the market has sustained this rally due to shorts covering their positions with the help of the FED to prop up this market. If you stopped paying attention, the GME hype/play almost feels like a dream at this point. But make no mistake about it, GME issued a share-dividend at shareholder request to assist in shaking the systemic-short position and the DTCC literally informed foreign brokers to handle it like a split.
