you are correct most of the market is dogshit scams, but there are a few good coins that can pass rational evaluations

mkr, dext, rlb, uncx, gmx, gns all have consistent proven revenue and pass it onto holders in some form on a day to day basis

most L1 coins are scams solely to enrich the founders but you can still look at usage over time and determine if they are attracting users and devs

link's entire mcap(which is really quite large) is entirely based on future potential and not what exists currently. add to that the egregious dumping that will continue to take place(admittedly at a slowing pace) and its entirely rational to be skeptic until we see real open market demand for the link token that all this infra is supposed to create.
