At the lowest level it is Messaging (includes contracts, file storage, DNS), Colored Coins, Voting System, Reputation System. At higher (user-friendly) level it is Library, Shops (like decentralized app store), Asset Exchange, etc. Extra functionality can be added via yet-to-be-nailed Service Providing based on subscription paid with NXT. Mini-blockchains perfectly fit into Service Providing, by the way, big files can be stored with SP as well.

What are you getting at? Sergey realized the infrastructure didnt exist to do this in a decentralized fashion so he sought out to build that infrastructure. Ethereum saved him a lot of time. Now Link services will save ethereum a lot of time to import real world value.

lmao this might as well be in another language

To anyone that was around back then - how did NXT end? Looking at the old charts it looks like a rugpull.

What was Sergey's role in management and did he ever get asked about why it failed? Seems like this gets covered up too much. If this was a ceo of a public corp, the reputation would follow, but only in crypto can you just start up a new cult and erase the past.

yeah too bad he realized it only after collecting and spending that sweet ICO money in exchange for useless NXT.

Is this another Hudson Jameson dig up old tweets to cancel crypto dev play?

Dude Chainlink has accomplished so much more than nxt ever did. Brushing yourself off and trying again is a quality that’s admired in entrepreneurs. You can see the vision in its infancy.

totally agree with that, but the thing that pisses me off in crypto is they use all of other people's money. How about some of these guys putting up their own capital or personally signing onto some debt to finance their startup. Nope...they all fucking sell the public on their scam buzzwords and then walk away rich when it goes bust. It's bullshit and it delegitimizes the space.

I’m not an expert on this stuff, but you can’t invest in securities unless you’re an accredited investor, right? People complain about that all the time. In crypto you can take on that risk without having tons of capita up front. Like, I hear you but people need to take responsibilities for their own money as well.

perhaps regulations are needed after all. yeah you are free to pick one or many of these "startups" to invest in, but 90% are scams and 100% will pretend they aren't. regular people have no way of telling the difference. link started with good intentions, but now? they got too many employees, so they have to make payroll, which means pumping out marketing material to milk retail. at least they are trying to get additional revenue streams going, but we all know how that's going

I didn’t take as much profit on link as I should have and I’m a bit salty too. That being said, haven’t you learned a lot from your crypto experience? Let’s work on improving ourselves and educating other investors about the risks involved rather than endlessly lamenting things we can no longer change.
