THOUGHTS ABOUT TEDDY AND MOAS

I was thinking about something I read about something Okbets might have said and would love to hear what others think. Am I crazy? Could MOAS bring down the system as we know it? Is that a bad thing?

Basically what I heard goes like this... if BBBYQ shares are cancelled on a weekend (assuming that is possible) and we get Teddy shares on a Monday (assuming that is the plan) there is no short squeeze. Basically the HF shorts get off the hook free and clear.

While not the initial outcome I want this isn't necessarily a bad thing IMO. One thing about MOAS that has terrified me is the actual collapse of the economic system due to what I believe these HF F's are doing. I want the system to change just as much as the next person just not at the expense of.... well destroying the entire system. Something akin to the old saying of not throwing the baby out with the bed bath and beyond water. Pun intended.

Regarding the show yesterday I will say this. The biggest disappointment I have is in myself. There has been a lot of criticism about Bill and PP and the crew etc. I just don't see a lot of self reflective criticism.

Who hyped things up? Me, I did it in the comments section and of course in my head. I got super excited over a speculation that, contrary to what we were told, something big was going to be announced.

We were told this was going to be a regular show. We were told Bill didn't know anything. Yet we all got fired up anyway.

IMO those who were upset about no announcement on the show and there are a lot of us might try and do some self-reflection about why we are upset. If your initial thought is to point the finger try doing it in a mirror.

Also consider this. If you say you "Love Everyone In the Community" but that is true only if we win you might want to reevaluate that thought process. We may lose. Are you still going to be here supporting the PP Show or is that only if we win?

This is something I've been struggling with for a while. I really enjoy making espresso and I like talking about the things I enjoy, so a lot of people I'm close with know about my hobby.

I really try not to be obnoxious about it and come off as a snob (although let's be real, we're all coffee snobs), but most people drink coffee so coffee routines come up pretty frequently. I don't tell people their coffee is bad or that they need to buy a new grinder and start weighing input for a drip machine, but when I get asked about how I prepare coffee, I'm honest.

I measure out my dose, the machine takes 20ish minutes to warm up, I use a nice grinder for consistency/low retention, I "distribute" (wdt / tamp), I weigh the output, I stir. I do what I have found is the minimum number of steps for me to get a good espresso.

EVERYONE thinks I'm crazy. I don't mind that so much as long as its a "I would never work that hard for coffee but if it makes you happy go for it" kind of crazy, but very few people have that attitude. Most people fall into 3 categories:

You're financially irresponsible and like shiny things

You are judging me for the way I make coffee

You make things needlessly complicated and there's no way the coffee is even that good

There's also the well-meaning "send me that machine I might want to upgrade from my nespresso", which I don't find offensive I just don't know how to respond to since the expense and time required for nespresso and espresso is so different.

I know I'm not the only one who thinks the realtor commission is too damn high for such minimal work. I've listed my $800k property and to think my realtor will get $20k for answering phone calls and providing nicer pillows for my couch is asinine. I’m playing in a band with friends and while I love them all and it original music, I’m just not a “play the same basic thing every time” person. Also, my band mates frequently make sonic soup and I’m looking to get my kicks from different things. I decided to ditch my amp for this group.

I decided to take a handful of pedals I don’t really use and make an ampless rig for this band. I have a Bogner Ecstasy Blue I got in a trade I decided to use as the core for the tone, dialed it in for an edge of breakup sound, and thought it was pretty good, so I dialed in the boost to give me a second channel. Then I decided to take my dust-covered Bogner Harlow compressor afterward to see if I sound simulate a little power amp compression. After a few minutes, nailed it. Breathing like an amp.

I decided to see what my Flamma stereo cab IR I bought on a whim a couple of years ago would add even more, and sure enough it now sounds almost identical to a mic’ed amp. I dropped a cheapo Zoom MS50 between the Harlow and the Flamma for reverb and delay (and true stereo), created a dozen presets, and an Aliexpress Zvex Fuzz Factory 7 clone in front and I am in heaven (for this band).

I don’t like menu diving, and now I have a great sounding live direct rig for under $500 of pedals that weren’t being used.

I don’t know that there is a moral to the story, other than get creative before you buy new stuff!

I previously posted here about a predatory/fake journal taking my paper on arxiv (which required me to upload the LaTeX source of my paper), saying that I had submitted my paper to them (I did not, my students did not), accepting my paper, then demanding me to pay thousands of USD to publish. They spammed me every single day for like 4 weeks, kept reducing the APC, and sort of begged me to accept publishing the paper. Following many's advice, I put their emails to Junk and ignored them. Until a few days ago when they told me that they had published my paper in their journal with a link and DOI. I checked and it's real, it's online, and this morning Google Scholar picked it up and added it to my profile. I'm furious, and worried about a few possible consequences:

Having my paper in a fake/predatory journal may tank my reputation, especially in a time when I'm applying for promotion. I've always published in reputable, top-tier journals in my field.

I plan to improve my arxiv paper and submit it to a (reputable) journal in a few months. Their publication of my paper may prevent me from submitting to other journals.

They might send an APC bill to me or my department, or worse to a debt collector, demanding payment. At this point, I won't be surprised if they will even fake my acceptance or digital signature. This will cause troubles, even legal troubles.

I appreciate your advice on how to handle this situation to prevent any serious impacts to my career and my finance. Given their past actions, I doubt that requesting them to take down my paper will work, or they may ask me to pay to take down my paper.

If you chose to purchase shares in Jan 2021 - September 2022 you did it off the basis that this stock was most likely a part of a basket of stocks that is heavily manipulated that could pop at any moment due to swaps going bust and volatility increasing not because they are the best retailer at selling wicker baskets. If you chose to purchase the stock from December 2022 - current times then you bought the stock off the basis that this company is going bankrupt and it’s a huge risk to get involved but the payout of a potential turnaround could be life changing due to the amount of short volume at any given time.

Idk what everyone else has been up to since Jan 21’ but I’ve been personally using this time to prepare for life after this trade. Money is just like alcohol and drugs. It’s an amplifier. Since we already talked about this trade like it’s playing the lottery let me explain that more than half of everyone involved will go broke after everything is said and done. You think you can manage millions of dollars but the funniest aspect is unless you are mentally and physically prepared for wealth you are going to fail long term. This game has always been designed this way. The frustrations many are showing now about “it’s tough to put food on the table” are in for a rude awakening when they actually have the funds.

We are with so many apes ( that love the stock and are forced to watch it go down week by week and all the fukery that happens around it.

We buy the stock, we DRS, we gather on this (pretty closed and unknown reddit for the outside public) and we inform each other, write dd, ...... and hope that a times finally come when things turn around (please don't be offended for this minimalistic description, I'm sure I forgot to mention a lot of things).
BUT what If we all could DO MORE for the company??

We are apes with lot of different backgrounds, occupation, different skills and..... different ideas. Some of us a better in inventing/ creating , some of us in actually realizing them. ( the dreamers and the do-ers).
I would like to start an 'idea pool'.

Publicity ideas: (how can we get the information to a wider public?)

- more online awareness/ publicity outside the this reddit (youtube, twitter, ...., this kind of simple animation youtube movies that help explain the things in an easy way)

- more of that lovely leaflets on every fukin board you can find (schools, theaters, pubs, ....)

- I loved the GME roadsign guy. (where is he?)

- the purple DRS caps spreading all over the world / Gamestop caps,....

- If some of you guys managed to fly GS banners around than I'm sure we can set-up more likely initiatives and find funding for it.

- encouragement for more of that lovely 'support of the company' /' receipts posts

- it was sad that GS had to stop the NFT marketplace in the US but could they go around it and open it outside the US? ( the thing has been already set-up and the main

TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN!
