>Inflationary currency is actually good because it discourages hoarding

How does this argument even work?
Even if my money was deflationary, I would still have to buy as much food, pay my credit card, pay my electricity and water bills, pay my health insurance.

Why cant we accept the reality is that bitcoin failed at its actual purpose and that we're still just copeing and hopeing with it purely as a way to make it?

I just wish people would be more honest, but you have people here posting like theyre unironically still in it for the tech, when the tech didnt actually end up scaling or being used for its purpose in the long run

Bitcoin
RIP
2009 - 2011

Yeah you can still make money with it, but its not what its meant to be anyway, its just a meme at this point, if you look at Bitcoin from a legacy market trader, Bitcoin IS equivalent to a shitcoin

>cope

Nope, you're the cope, I am the honest one here.

Yes I still trade Bitcoin, and I'll keep trading it so long as there's some kind of liquidity and volume in the system.

>encourages hoarding any asset that has historic returns above inflation or expected future returns above inflation instead
Nice one

The "currency" would rise in "value" not produced assets.
Just think about the definition of capital as in
>Value preserved
With value as
>Something an individual or a group of individuals considers useful

You would end in an economic environment where food (production) < "currency"

Perfect way into commutard slavery

>Good goyim, if we don't make your currency worthless you will live in hard times, isn't it obvious?
Assets will continue to be produced. People aren't going to suddenly stop their spending habits because the money supply isn't being debased. People will still want/buy the newest iPhone, Tesla car, or whatever other shit so they can show off for social points and "dab" on others.

Production would be severely crippled, demand for work would be severely crippled, with the (((early investors))) becoming basically gods over later investors. Sounds familiar?
Yeah, the way into global communist slavery

Why? As I said:
>People aren't going to suddenly stop their spending habits because the money supply isn't being debased.
If demand is there, why would production stop?
>with the (((early investors))) becoming basically gods over later investors
Do you mean people who invest in assets or people who "invest" in their hard cash, ie. save their money.

The common factor in civilizational downfall is that they started debasing their currency. When their money supply was hard the civilizations were flourishing.

And how do they get that currency, if the demand for work is not holding pace, because of lower consume and more incentive to not have demand for assets, services and consumer goods?
>Once upon a time
Smaller population, way smaller population. Guess you support the depopulation agenda, or do you prefer the depopulation with slavery

Inflationary currency is actually good as long as populations and economies increase in size and scale.

>> No.56188801

I think it actually has more to do with malinvestment and inability to perform economic calculation
I'm not going to elaborate

Somehow liberals have convinced themselves that the economy revolves around buying funko pops rather than energy and natural resources.
