Most of the big brokers are working on their own crypto exchanges and could handle it regardless. It'd just be a simple ERC-1155 token and you ask your customers if they want to hold it with you or offer to send it to an external wallet. That's assuming it's issued as a token and not as just a regular share of equity in the acquiring company which for a lot of reasons is what I think will happen instead and in the future people will be able to go from regular shares with a broker to a tokenized equivalent in an exchange or their own wallet they control with full custody at-will. The fraud ftx pulled with their gme and bbby tokenized stocks - which were only backed with the value of 50k shares a piece but traded billions of tokens which materially impacted the price - very funnily already proves that going share to token or token to share is already possible, and now that I think about it they were trying to pull a hit on the idea before it was just them doing it because nobody in a position of power in any market wants people to have full custody and control over what they own for very obvious profit-seeking reasons.
