No it wouldn't you dullard. You can't cheat Economy, look at Au, it functions as a near perfect -1x of fiat (at least over multi-decade timeframes). 44x since '71, compared to 42x monetary expansion. Market manipulation is a statist boogyman like monopolies or deflationary spirals

You can't manipulate a market you don't control entirely, and even fake markets where the manipulator controls the entire market (FTT, CEL, Adani etc) blow up relatively quickly. If you could successfully manipulate a real market, you could centrally plan an economy, for what is central planning but the ultimate market manipulation? But you can't. Au proves this, if central banks could manipulate gold down don't you thing they would? Yet gold has performed near perfectly as a -1x of fiat

Reminds me, how my Dad used to have us kids do this. hekp him sort through piles of coins.
Also, anytime he gave us money to walk down to the corner store and buy something, he always told us to check the dates on the coins we got back in change.
Dad was always warning us kids to look out for coins dated 1964 or earlier and always told us how they were worth 10 times face value because of the Silver.
So any time we found a 1964 or older coin, we would dutifully bring it to him and hand it over.

Sadly typical of the (((Monnaie de Paris))) ever since a jew took over. These € commemorative coins used to be .925 since the 60s, and .950 before that (i believe it's the oldest mint in the world still in duty, opened in 600 AD).
But now, even though the retail price for those memecoins are outrageous, they have the chutzpah to make ultra low purity billon on top of it.

And of course they don't advertize it, you see SILVER € all over it, but nowhere the purity is being displayed. But since i know better i knew i should dig a bit, and with no surprise it was .333 vomit, but i understand how it can fool innocent souls. Vile kikes at play.

https://www.ebay.fr/itm/155777267197

600g of .958 pre-revolutionary silverware (circa 1770 i'd say) with royal hallmarks (fermiers généraux) from the city of Dijon (where the mustard come from!) for very cheap.
Yes, the condition isn't top notch, and some of the marks are partially wiped, but it's still x100 more sovllfvl and rare.
And most of all, for the same price you get 18.5toz of fine silver out of it, vs 4 tiny oz with the Gaultier box.

They had some better .900 coins (wheat, oak, laurel) recently but I don't see them at the post office nearby. They've only got olympics stuff now (no doubt also .333, but I didn't bother to check).
But wait, it gets better! The .333 coins with a face value of 10 euros used to sell for 10 euros. So you at worst you could spend them as euros. But now they sell for 12 euros.

They probably sell them all to collectors. I guess people also collect copper-nickel alloy coins (there's tons of those on numista) and this .333 junk is a step above that. I start my journey in stocks few months before the short squeeze memes came to fruition. As a good newbie i melded in, made decent monies and then put half of it in an even darker short squeeze (IG Telecom or something, i don't even want to open my broker to verify, it awaken dark memories kek) who declared a chapter 7 literally the day after, so i lost everything, and the other half in various scam juniors miners, where i'm down -95% in average.
My expensive lesson was :
>stop being a retard dude, stocks are a giant scam backed by nothing, entirely designed to siphon cash away from the real economy, and you aren't part of the big bois allowed to profit from it
I believe that if it weren't for stocks, inflation would be much, much worse, as all the trillions in standstill there would be used to chase an ever decreasing amount of goods (we don't produce anymore). Stocks, like bonds, shitcoins and various digitalized "assets" are the last greed-fueled sponges preventing the USD to descent in a hyperinflationary spiral.
This is why i know stick to 100% tangible assets. Mainly PMs, but antiques, collectibles, liquors, cars,.. also are a decent alternative.

Sure, that works now. But if inflation gets out of hand, it'll be harder. Already the banks are stingy about withdrawing cash. And the EU has also voted in new legislation to reduce the maximum legal amount to 7000 EUR per cash transaction. Granted this last part doesn't directly affect you if you're operating off the books, but it shows that they're tightening the screws. Ultimately their plan is to remove cash altogether and replace it with a CBDC. What better way to achieve that goal than to allow inflation to run rampant? We haven't really seen much inflation yet, but I'm betting it will accelerate next year.

So you have roughly $3000 in discretionary income to spend on investments? I don't like investments outside of PM's and or other things I can hold, but I'm not sure I would recommend silver. Sadly silver is affordable for you, but it's also rather volatile, you don't have much to gamble with, and a major swing one way or the other could be disastrous for you if you would need to sell. That being said it's a judgment call on your part, I don't know the fine details of your financial situation, so maybe my assessment is wrong. I'd recommend gold for more stability, but then you'd need to have more to spend for that to make any sense anyways. Kind of in a tough position. Maybe work on improving your income.

Is there a chance it will go down and not go up again though? I was under the impression that it's a fairly stable investment long-term (then again I'm a noob and an idiot, which is why I'm asking here lol)
>I'd recommend gold for more stability
Then I'd be looking at one ounce per year, would there even be a point if I can't invest more? I'd even risk the price increasing faster than I could save for it. I guess in my mind, having 100 silver coins sounds better than having one gold coin, even if their value is about the same. I'm still learning about this, so please tell me if I'm wrong.

Once you hit a comfortable threshold of PMs, you really do need to shore up your finances and remember to keep your account flush with cash with cash outside of the banks. This is what you have to do with your income, in order of urgency, to gain financial stability:
1) Create a 3 month spending emergency fund (6 if you have children)
2) Get rid of all debt, highest interest first, google "debt snowball"
3) Max out pension funds/401 or whatever you have
4) Invest in a simple dividend aristocrat ETF for a bit of extra cash flow, reinvest all dividends.
5) Once you have a year worth of expenses in that ETF, buy one month worth expenses in gold and one in silver (buy lowest premium investment grade coins).
6) Once you have two years worth of expenses in that ETF, buy one more month worth expenses in gold and one in silver (buy lowest premium investment grade coins).
7) Once you have three years worth of expenses in that ETF, buy one more month worth expenses in gold and one in silver (buy lowest premium investment grade coins).
8) Once you have four years worth of expenses in that ETF, buy one more month worth expenses in gold and one in silver (buy lowest premium investment grade coins).

Track everything in an excel sheet (or Google sheet or something).

Gold and silver is for when you have all the bases covered, not when you have nothing. Else you end up like the dudes we have in almost every thread that need to sell at a loss because their washing machine broke.
In an emergency you sell some ETF, then gold and silver, then use the emergency fund.

Also, you need to get more income, get a better or second job, to reach your goals sooner.

You should really have a year worth of expenses in savings before putting money into silver. You lose 25% of what you bought it for if you went and sold it, you need to buy it with the knowledge that you’ve already lost 25% of what you spent. Which makes it a luxury investment. The key is not to put all your money in pms, diversify. Guns, ammo, land, other tangible assets. ETFs are ok too. Been stacking since early 2000. I love me some PMs but they're not the end all be all. Good luck and don't invest what you can't afford to lose. Just understand there is no rush slow and steady wins the majority of the time. Well we need to differentiate between SuperAI and PrettyGood AI.
What SuperAI does it going to depend largely on how it is designed and who designs it.
Under a SuperAI the very idea of money probably won't exist, because money won't be necessary for its control.
But before we get there we will have some PrettyGoodAIs running around. And they will almost certainly be used to drain people's bank accounts, because people will design them to do so.
Spitballing SuperAI is likely at least a decade out, but I forecast PrettyGoodAIs to be draining accounts before this decade is out.

>If you stayed around here you'd know the main arguments we advance for a PM revaluation in the near future.
PMs will certainly go up against the US dollar because literally everything is currently going up against the US dollar. The US is experiencing large inflation and PM's are going to eventually catch up.

if you think the price of silver catching up to the price of labor or bread or gasoline gained you anything, you are the schizo I mentioned upthread. Meanwhile you are acutely aware you're priced out of houses and land, and you desperately hope PM's will catch up or outpace those, even though they haven't in the last 100 years and have utterly failed to keep up for the last 20.

so you have to bet on something that's never happened before to think the investment is good. And you can't really predict how something that's never happened before will go down, if it even does. So basically just betting on luck.

brainlet take, as always.
The pricing out of housing and land is entirely artificial and is a governmental policy, nothing else. Only there to absorb excess capital from foreign nations and vampirize younger generations, to finance a ponzi pension system for unproductive boomers who now are the majority.
This is beyond bubble territory only thanks to few (((laws))) regulating urban zoning.
If we made it a national policy, we could reduce the price of homes by x5 in few years. But then, what would prop up the boomies' ponzis?
Do you know the % of the US with constructions on it? This country is fucking EMPTY. EU have almost twice the pop of the US in a third of the land space, and even Europe feels empty as fuck.

You can build an infinite number of houses with any material, but silver? There is only so much around here, and we already mined 95% of it. So enjoy your overpriced cardboard house surrounded by jeets. I'll keep my almost extinct element vital for the survival of human civilization, and we will see who will win the end : the fake dystopian ponzi propped up by dying old farts in suits, or the cold reality of overexploited, undervalued rare minerals allowing all our techs to function.

Good luck, hombre.

we have alternative options

they have far fewer alternative options.

BRICS or something like it is probably inevitable, but it's also a bit early. And when it hits, private ownership of gold and silver will have to be outlawed because we'd be going right back to a metallic standard and that never works when people are allowed to actually horde metals.

BRICS is already happening, dummy. And even the chinese are allowed to buy gold. Anyway even the americanos were buying european restrikes of 20F and 100 koronas, etc. during the gold ban (and silver never was).

I might or might not succeed. Probably won't. Neither will BRICS. Their biggest problem is they all rely on the west far too much to set the rules.

isn't interesting that countries with stuff to sell are dirt poor while a country that only buys stuff is mostly rich?

weird how that works. Keep selling stuff though. Your country will surely get rich one day.

we get most of our customer service and software from india. Most of our products from china, and most of our gas and oil from russia.

these aren't bad places. They're places that rely far too much on selling to US to survive without US. They're our kids, we raised them. We know they're not ready to survive without us.

Why should a citizen in India, Brasil or SA buy pricey gold in China instead of cheap gold locally or anywhere else in the world?
>And so it willl be for all the BRICS.
Are you suggesting India will not allow their citizens to buy gold where it's cheapest but forces them to buy in China, their No1 enemy?
>And then the west will have to follow suit, if it wants to trade with any BRICS.
I must have missed a few steps there. Why would anyone buy pricey gold in Shanghai when they can buy regular priced gold at home?

>>56153275
>BRICS is already happening, dummy. And even the chinese are allowed to buy gold.
Only inside the country. And we aren't allowed to sell there. That is the reason why Shanghai decoupled. That and the fact that everyone inside China wants to put their money into something not Evergrande or Yuan fast because Evergrande and Yuan are kind of fucked.

>>56153363
Well, they will exchange wares amongst themselves and pay in something else than $, that much i believe is possible. I just don't think it's a good idea for Brasil and India to decouple from $ for Yuan and the CCP boot that comes with it.
Anyway, they want to get from now 26% to 30% non $ or € until 2026. So they have plenty of time to reconsider, i think the plan is to have 60% until 2032.

This mentality will get you nowhere. The top is full of sociopathic narcissists, usually Jews, who feel justified to screw the majority of the unsuspsect population whom they believe is inferior to themselves, and the unsuspect population who will call you a fool and bigot while lining the top guy's pockets. This is how the world ultimately operates, regardless of your morality. You should pocket what you can and still use it for the greater good. The greater good just doesn't know how to invest, consider it not scamming the guy next to you, but giving it back later in the form of building a better community. A fool and his money are quickly parted.

they already do. The problem is the US pays much higher prices for those same wares. So the bulk of them go to the US. Banding together to raise prices on the US is just good business, but the US doesn't care about that. We can afford their stuff at 10 times the price they're charging, and if we don't want to pay that we just set up shop in some non-BRICS country and they get rich instead.

To actually offset the purchasing power of the west they pretty much need every country on board, and even then the power is in the pocket of the buyer rather than the seller. Worst case for the US is they win the trade war and we bring manufacturing back home. Which is what most working americans want anyways.
