Why do people make these threads, but neither name the city nor the country?

back in 2018 i was paying $955/mo with free natural gas, water, and trash. today it rents for $1400/month + $100-120/month surcharge for utilities. the renovated units in the same complex were going for $1600-1700/month + $100/120/month utilities.

How are people keeping up with rent?
Seriously, with the rising price of food and gas how do people not go bankrupt?

Utah here. You used to be able to get a 2 bedroom rental for $800 per month in a spic area. Now the spic areas are just as expensive as the Mormon areas. It’s $1800-2000 per month for a 2 bedroom anywhere regardless. Nothing really makes sense anymore

Nice digits. I am still paying $680. My landlord is very kind and is afraid of losing me as a renter. She's only ever had deadbeats and hud tenants
