>if everyone that has their shares of a stock under a broker and that broker has the final say since shares are under the brokers name i'm under the assumption they'll definitely be rugged, but, what if a holder has their shares DRS'd(direct registered shares)? With drs your name/share is directly registered in your name. With the coming crash, what if the company your invested in has next to no debt, like 99:1 ratio. will holders of said company and the company itself stay alive and holders intact through the rugging?

Read the PDF my man, it will explain it all. You can skip the prologue if you're just want to read up on the legal stuff. Here's a sample of it. Full PDF is in the catbox link.

I have a hard-on for perth mint coins. Been stacking all of the new ones they put out since 2020. Koalas, Dragon series, Emus, Dolphins, Swans, eagles, brumby, these coins are gorgeous. Imo the Perth dragon bars and coins are going to appreciate in value significantly. Being its the last year with the queens effigy

Why do the brumby horse cost more than other coins? Mintage isn't particularly low. Anyway I guess that's the only significant coin I haven't got one of yet. I was even able to get some limited edition older year privy coins for less than 2022 brumby, kek.

noob question: is there anything wrong with just buying whatever is popular? ie 1 oz maples for sliver and 1 oz krugerand for gold?
ive also been lurking for a couple of threads and noticed that a lot of anons show pretty small stacks. is this because they dont show off everything? or are people that meticulous about getting the best deals that they dont own alot?
i want to get into buying silver but im still anxious doing something wrong with a ~$26 purchase.
also, how important are the motifs to you people? id imagine if good deals are important to you then you would probably not care about completing a collection or something.
also, when buying online, you obviously have to pay shipping. wouldnt that make it a pretty bad way of buying metals? youd have to buy in large quantities from the same seller to offset the shipping costs instead of just buying from a local shop.

>is there anything wrong with just buying whatever is popular?
No. In fact, it's a school of thought to keep to the low-premium, well-recognized pieces.
>a lot of anons show pretty small stacks.
For my part, my 'stack' is scattered and fairly large and eclectic. I do show large portions at times if it's pertinent to the discussion.
>i want to get into buying silver but im still anxious doing something wrong with a ~$26 purchase.
If $26 is a big deal, consider that the world works on fiat, and if you can spare only a tiny amount like that, you are ill-prepared for emergencies.
>also, how important are the motifs to you people?
To me, very important. It's one reason my collection is so varied.
>when buying online, you obviously have to pay shipping.
I never buy less than minimum to get free shipping. Some vendors have slightly higher premiums that cover that cost for them. Some (like GainesvilleCoin) have notably lower prices but charge for shipping.

It’s like that because most buyers of paper silver have absolutely no intention of ever executing a contract. There is nothing spooky about it and it doesn’t indicate that there is any shortage of silver in relation to demand. There is a fuck ton of silver sitting in vaults and homes all over the United States. Silver is going to flood the market as people liquidate to try to stay afloat and the price will continue to go down and down. Top right - Oseberg ship, pic related. I don't know what mint. Mass is 3.32 ozt. Backside is boring - just a lame compass rose in a corner and this text:
OSEBERG SHIP
Ninth Century
The Oseberg ship is a magnificent example
of the graceful design and careful construc-
tion methods that made Viking ships so sea-
worthy and durable. The personal vessel of a
great Viking queen, this ship was lavishly
embellished with woodcarving. She is the
earliest known Viking ship equipped with both a sail and a mast.

Paid $80 in 2013.

Shoot. I thought I had a closeup pic of the other - the Gorch Fock - but I don't. Will fix that tomorrow. In the meantime here's a crop from a different group imgage.
It was minted by Colonial Mint as part of their "Last of the Windjammers" series. Mass is 1 ozt, backside (IIRC) has generic text describing the series, not the ship itself.
Paid $35 in 2017.

I am not interested in selling either - sorry.

Seriously, it's at least 65% of the items sold as silver who are silver plated trash. I can't count how many items i had to send back, even though i'm careful.
And the past 30 days alone, i've got 5 sellers who refused to send me the items i won in auctions because the prices didn't satisfy them. Idk.. just put a starting pricetag you are comfortable with if you don't want to end up in this situation, why is this so hard to understand for these faggots?...

>>56131252
Yeah it's unsufferable how some sellers try to scam you on this shit.
I'm dealing with a seller who pretended she couldn't print a send back stamp (for 15€) after a litigation for a return demand i opened (it was plated trash sold as silver). She gave her word on ebay to refund me, as messages sent via ebay count as proofs. Since then she refuse to answer my messages and didn't paypal me as promised. She even tried to pretend i damaged the item i sent back and opened a ticket about it to make the refund fizzle. Fucking bitch. Of course ebay sided with me.. but still, this whore owe me 15 bux.
And it's such a pain in the ass to contact ebay, there is NOWHERE on their website to contact the support service.

Michael Lee, founder of Michael Lee Strategy, told Kitco that gold will
likely hit $5,000 an ounce in the next three years because the macro data determining
prices “looks manipulated or flawed by design.”

"Every single time a [jobs] report came out [in 2023], it was later revised lower,” Lee
told Kitco. “That has happened every month this year. That is a 12 sigma deviation
event—meaning, you're more likely to get struck by lightning five times on the way to
work than this happening. You have to ask yourself, is this government bureaucracy, is
this a flawed model, or is the Bureau of Labor Statistics cooking the books to favor the
Biden administration?"

He continued, “One has to wonder how gold has not broken out materially above
$2,000 given the amount of buying that these BRICS nations are doing at the moment.
With silver, you're finally seeing some JPMorgan traders go to jail for what they did 15
years ago in containing the price of silver,” he said. “Is there something like that going
on in the gold markets to artificially deflate the price? When all these stars line up, and
the price of something should be much higher, your mind just goes to these
conspiracy theories because so many have become true over the last few years.”

Yeah, what were those Rhodium stackers thinking? They could have bought Gold instead and seen practically no gains at all when adjusted for inflation. Since only 1/3 of mined gold is a byproduct supply is responsive to demand and gains will be minimal if that demand spikes. I think you'd be surprised. This is just my personal experience, but hear more and more normies getting interested in PMs lately. Sure it's still a tiny minority, but for the longest time i was literally alone and nobody around me ever talked about it.
Too bad the mints are disclosing their production numbers with several years of delay in average (only the US mint seems to be more transparent about this), it would be an useful tool to see how strong the momentum still is. Pic rel is the production of silver Wiener (wiki page) for example. The same multiplier for 2020 is occuring for the gold version.

Panicking, maybe not yet, because we are coming from far away -nippons weren't big stackers by any mean- but it will surely start to worry the BoJ and their zero yield Tbonds at some point. If you live in Japan, there is literally zero incentive to pick bonds or stocks over gold/silver.

Especially since for the first time ever gold breached the 10K yen per gram like.. 2 weeks ago, as the JPY is slipping in the abyss. This must be quite a mental barrer being broken.

I was sitting with 4x state rounds I snagged from the LCS and got to thinking: One of the most important concepts people need to consider is the relative-exchange-value of assets. It is NOT a function of capitalism necessarily that asset prices fluctuate. The art of trading is being able to sell things when they are expensive as well as buy things when they are cheap. If a tropical storm rolls through and destroys all of the oranges in Florida it is NOT a function of capitalism that orange juice prices will skyrocket. It is supply and demand. If you are situated in the right place at the right time then you will profit. Pretty simple.
As I sit looking at these 4 rounds, I estimate they are pretty close to being worth about $25 each on average. I basically have a $100 Franklin sitting in front of me. But not only do I have $100 but I ALSO have the potential exposure to a MASSIVE increase (or eternal crab) in the price of silver. My silver holdings feel very much symbiotic of reasonable and proper "long term savings" but also have that built-in hedge of freeing me of the woes of total economic meltdown.
Just some late night thoughts. Hope everyone has a good evening.

Project idea: I want to make a custom calendar with /pmg/ images for each month, and whatever special dates that are important to precious metals history. If this is something you might be interested in, think of the month you'd like to represent and send me an email at any time with your photographs. They do not need to have any memecoins in them but any silver or gold that you have that you'd like to show off

Those are some high quality walking libs. Most of mine are worn.
I think as PMs take off in the public consciousness walking libs will start to command a premium along with Mercury dimes. That's just my opinion for the outlook on a long term basis.

You can expect by 2040 for gold to be money. In a very short time you will be able to buy a condo for 1-2 ozs of gold. The path towards that reality will be painful. The trick will be not selling your metals while getting absolutely curb stomped by inflation. Prices are going to inflate at a break neck speed while they use typical and atypical market manipulation plus legislation to suppress the price of gold as much as possible. People will be dumping assets left and right to try to pay for things and few items will offer a safe haven or reprieve from the financial rape. Then one day gold will be declared money. It's revaluing will be so severe and dramatic it will break hearts and minds and create new dynastic wealth overnight.

No it wouldn't you dullard. You can't cheat Economy, look at Au, it functions as a near perfect -1x of fiat (at least over multi-decade timeframes). 44x since '71, compared to 42x monetary expansion. Market manipulation is a statist boogyman like monopolies or deflationary spirals.

Boomers and Gen x will burn in hell for the gaslighting and sins committed against our generations. There is more millennials that stack silver compared to boomers nowadays.
