I got a higher paying job by learning a few programs on my own with books I downloaded for free.I don't know why people don't bother learning new skills

I've been given an opportunity to work on some coding side projects at work, I'm normally a hardware techie so this is pretty cool. C# seems right for the project, now I just need to pick a book to study and finally win my lifelong battle with procrastination and self-motivation, and I'll be in WFH heaven
