I'm holding 48k and feel like an idiot for not dumping more money into it. This coin will easily 5x and maybe even 10x over the next few months. For anyone spreading FUD or doubting the power of this coin, I invite you to watch this video. This guy concisely explains why SIA is so revolutionary and why it will continue to dominate in 2018

I only hate small amounts of money. That’s why I’m holding XLM, XRB, VEN, ICX.

Not gonna hold this.

Another coin that has great technology but doesn’t need to be a crypto currency.

Main reason I decided not to invest in Sia was this post on reddit:

“The tech has yet to see any significant adoption; only 103TB of data are stored in the network right now. At the current price of ~$5/TB/mo, that equates to revenue of around $500 per month, a $6000/year run rate or equivalently, 240k SC/year. To put this in perspective, that is less than the amount of SC mined in 2 blocks. This seems a bit light for a coin flirting with a $1B market cap and goes to show how exuberant the crypto market has become.”

CryptoHoopla predicts it will hit .06 cents in Q1 of 2018. All of their previous predictions have been hit weeks before they said it would get to that level. Source:

https://www.cryptohoopla.com/cryptohoopla-report-siacoin-sc-2/

look at what this team said about NEO, about Stellar Lumens, and about Cardano. You'll see that Cryptohoopla has always been on point and actually has been too conservative in their predictions.

This coin is going 2x minimum. It's a comfy hold

it's a brand new company that has not done any significant marketing. Better to make sure your technology is functioning flawlessly before you embark upon the marketing hype machine. And that's what they are doing. Slowly but surely taking their time. Rome wasn't built in a day. This coin won't moon overnight. But over time it will definitely grow pretty big

How can something that only pulls in $500/month be worth over a billion dollars?

I know this entire market is baseless speculation but Sia is like Exhibit A for that.

So it's a good tech that hasn't been adopted yet.
So you want to wait until it's worth more to buy it?
Are you dumb?

I actually do like Sia and I think it’s good tech but I can’t see it growing that much more unless the userbase expands or it gets pumped by some whales. It reminds me of LBRY. I love the tech but I think people are treating it like it’s alreayd won the market when tech means little, marketing and adoption means everything when you’re competing with Amazon (with Sia) or YouTube (with LBRY)

how could the price of bitcoin have risen so high? The point is that it's in the early stages. That's why it's so cheap right now. SIA is something that could pay off in dividends the longer you hold it. Might be good for a quick 2x in the next month, but at the current rate it will probably be worth way more by EOY 2018 and beyond. SIA is the leader in decentralized cloud storage, and the cloud industry is ripe for disruption.

Once large enterprise level companies (like Boeing and even Apple and other tech companies) realize how secure this is, they will flock to it. No longer would Chinese companies be able to hack into your servers and steal your high tech secrets. If you keep it on something like this it's as safe as it can be. Only way you could have something more secure is to have offline plans literally locked in a vault.

It has a market cap of one billion dollars. I think it’s overvalued and I’d love to buy back in after it drops to something that better reflects its current adoption and revenue stream. It’s not like if it goes 5x that the userbase also had expanded by 5x or that fundamentals somehow changed, it just means it’s the typical crypto nonsense where something gets pumped for no logical reason. Which is fine, but let’s not pretend it has anything to do with the product.

the price getting pumped that high would only make it further known and lead to more people adopting the tech. The truth though is that the bread and butter of this industry is enterprise level data storage. Once large fortune 500 companies realize how valuable decentralized cloud storage can be, it will blow up. Granted that might take some time. But as hackers and foreign governments become more sophisticated, this tech will only grow in importance, it will not diminish
