> The average stock market return is about 10% per year, as measured by the S&P 500 index*

wagies have to brake their backs for a living while capital just get the returns. Risk diversification and careful financial management evens everything out and luck is unquantifiable factor so we wont consider it. So don't give me that "investors risks money" crap please. How come everybody is ok with it ?

Who gives a shit about morals?

>> No.56070540

Who says it's morally ok? What's it matter to you?

I'm going to do what makes money. that's putting money into the stock market. capitalism is gods way of separating the poor and stupid from the successful. Life is not fair, and no one said it was.

The way to success is simple but not easy because people are incredibly lazy. Starting from 0 as most of us do, get an education, at least HS grad. Pick a well paying job and specialize. Work hard and increase earnings, all the while living on no more than 50% of your income, investing the remainder. Buy a place to live you can afford and keep it long term. Do this for 20 to 30 years and you'll be able to keep your lifestyle going on investments forever working just 1/4 of your life if you live to 100.

Turns out if you waste tons of money on shit like coffee and fast food you never invest enough to matter and get stuck in coonsoomer mode forever.

I just don't understand the whole the hypocrisy going on in the world where they gang up on some scammer while the whole world is a big scam. Everybody is super moral, everybody condemns the wrong doings and everybody engages in corruption whenever they can. Aren't people suppose to feel bad inside out doing bad things ?

No, they won't. Perhaps I phrased that a little harshly. Your mistake is assuming morals are consistent for everyone. You and I likely agree murder is wrong; there are people who disagree. You and I may disagree eating meat is wrong. Think about it in a game theory kind of way: there is a way you wish to play the financial game, but other players are willing to play it in a fashion with which you disagree. Furthermore, their methodology is outcompeting yours. I don't think it's bad to have a philosophy of life, or morals for that matter, but you have to understand you don't have the same point of view as everyone.

OPs central concept seems to be making money without doing any actual work is wrong/bad. that simply isn't the case in capitalism and I'd guess the vast majority of people who have given it any sort of real thought agree that risking capital should in fact come with rewards should you be successful in making something better or more efficient.

>don't give me that "investors risks money"
actual communist propaganda. If its so easy just do what all the rich people do OP. Turns out getting money is the hard part you have to work at for 99% of us.

Take a very basic example, say a baker. If the baker buys flour and sugar at the cost the farmer produced it, and then sells bread at exactly that cost, they have essentially traded their time and effort for nothing. We've tried this system many times and it turns out people are greedy. Being greedy is a good thing when it allows things to operate more optimally.

I suspect the reality of the situation is OP is just very lazy and just wants to live a yatch and champagne lifestyle off his low level, low paid skills. People being born with a silver spoon is an example of life not being fair, it happens to the 1%. OP being lazy is an example of people being appropriately compensated for the value they provide society as a whole. If you want more money provide more value.

I already addressed this in
>>56070540
Pick something, work hard, make money, invest half, you too can be wealthy with effort free returns after some time. Turns out the main reason people don't do that is they're lazy as fuck and can't be bothered to give even a little bit of effort to make their own lives better.

>be me, never had an advantage besides born in the US, poor parents, divorced
>toil endlessly, not particularly smart
>get job, work hard, advance, invest, buy house
>now mid 30s and a multi millionaire. Not from crypto, from buying a cheap house, fixing it up, and putting at least 30%, usually more like 50 into investments.

>agree that risking capital should in fact come with rewards
I fully agree. I have worked a good many jobs earning money. I risked that money, the representation of all my time and effort, by trading it for things I think will be more valuable in the future. Sometimes that didn't work out, oops. I think a lot of people who complain about speculation and whatnot don't know the sheer ass clenching mental torture of watching your holds get blown the fuck out one day and having the conviction to stick with it. In my personal opinion, I draw the line with doing things like gambling with options or leverage, but that again illustrates my previous point of everyone has a varying philosophy.

>they gang up on some scammer while the whole world is a big scam.

the "they" in this sentence is journalists. and your right. they don't care about morality. they use the people's morality as a weapon against them.
