is escaping the rat race even possible?

like assume you made millions tomorrow how exactly do you leave the rat race? you can’t leave all that shit in your bank. you can’t leave all that shit in crypto.

you can buy a bunch of property for a safe investment.. but then you have to manage them, hire employees, repair them, find tenants, etc. you can buy stocks but then most of your fortune is on the line. you keep it in cash or gold and someone can easily rob you.

what do you even do when you get rich?

I have over 450k in my bank account (about 200k liquid) and walk around with about 10k liquid cash with no problems. I also don't flaunt my shit in the internet for clout so I guess that's why I'm good

if you count speculation as being part of the rat race, then yeah its hard to leave. personally i enjoy trying to guess the future. I dont understand how a retiree can calculate their autopilot safe withdrawal rate and then go play golf/watch football and truly never think about the market for years at a time. that kind of life seems pathetic

What do you mean by "escaping the rat race"?

I think when most people say that, they mean living without a job or with a low-stress job. Once they have enough cash, they buy stocks and bonds, hold them for the long term, and spend the income. That's pretty easy.

You can do vanguard like the other anon said, JP Morgan has one that sells covered calls on blue chips for extra income. You can get creative but normally you want to minimize management fees as much as possible. If you lose money long run in the s&p then it doesn’t matter because society will have collapsed

There are always risks present once you make it, anon. You keep cash, it could get robbed, burned in a fire, even the rats could eat it if you are in a third world country or los Angeles. You keep crypto, ok, you account might get hacked, CZ might turn off withdrawals at any time, your coin of choice (even tether) may go straight to zero. Most high IQ plan is keep some of your money in gold or a high amount of cash in bank safe. Or buy some property for yourself, no one will steal that from you (except if there is a communist coup d'etat in your country and all landlords get assblasted, but chances are that is not going to happen) At least it's something

I think that Scorch Coin is a great investment because it has a strong team behind it, they are working hard on the dev side and making fast progress, the community is great and excited to see how the project will evolve, and with this being the beginning stages there is great potential for growth. Also, it is backed by a large corporation so it will have the resources to succeed. With all of these factors in place, Scorch Coin is poised to become the next big thing in the crypto space and now is a great time to get in on the ground floor

Why is /biz/ so retarded now? Every rich guy I know has like 70-80% right now in T-bills. $10M in T-bills is paying out near $600k per year, tax free (or at 15%).

Safe as safe can be. If T-bills go to zero we are in Mad Max mode anyway so gold / crypto / apple stocks won't mean shit.

Its about as safe as can be. Not a single rich dude I know doesn't have large T-bill exposure right now. Not a single one.

t.2014 /bizraeli/ who got it early.

thats the mindset of a poorfag. T-bills return such a small % that you might as well just keep it under your mattress. I made twice your T bill return last week off of 2 different meme coins with no dev or white paper, and I will do it again tomorrow. Why would you waste your money on T-bills when you could be losing it chasing the next meme? The answer is you can't relate it, because anyone who would put money in T-bils instead of crypto must be either be braindead or a communist. Scorch Coin to the moon

Invest in VOO, something that tracks a sense of the global economy for a low management fee and maybe bonds. Set and forget. Live off dividends and only sell when dividends don't cover your living expenses. Maybe reduce your spending if there is a market crash. Make the occasional adjustment so you can likely die with zero.

It's the most basic FIRE plan

Index funds and real estate. It can go down but history shows that’s only temporary. You only withdraw 3-4% per year.

Unless the world’s economy crashes even worse than the 1929 depression and never comes back, you can survive on 3% withdrawals forever if it’s in stocks.
