You start to appear in other people's dreams as a fundamental pathway to their happiness and if you don't kneel to them, you suddenly become an obstacle to their happiness...It's fucked up, but that's how it works.

As you build wealth, you probably won't be accustomed to the target getting painted on you. Let's take women for example. When you have $100,000 to your name a girl has every incentive to remember her birth control and to be mostly authentic. When you start to get around $1 mil in liquid capital to your name, now it pays for her to be forgetful and it pays to be a good girl right up until they've got you financially contracted with them. I have some personal experience with that. You will fall to despair when you see how good of an actress some women can be.

Another great example of this are those Bitcoin millionaires who get killed left and right. They don't understand how much they have to lose relative to how little the people they surround themselves with have to lose. At a certain point, the real cruel irony of money is that you can't even flaunt it because it is outright dangerous to do so. Money can certainly get you attention from pretty girls and interesting people...it also gets you a lot of attention from everyone else.
