The graph literally needs Chainlink to utilize its indexed data for smart contracts. Without Chainlink GRTs data has no value.

Grt is literally integrated with Chainlink and has been for years. They are friends and this multi chain expansion is literally coming out now because it’s utilizing CCIP

It's a very, very hard problem to accomplish from the ground up, and until it's solved, Chainlink and The Graph are complementary because neither can do the other's job too well.
