I'm 35 and all my grandparents are still alive. one of them is worth $25m. love the old man, I really do, but he's a decrepit guy now and I need the scratch. kind of a hard thing to wish for. I feel a lot of guilt about it, but realistically he's going to live another ten years because basically everyone in my family makes it past 100. the only great-grandparent who didn't was hit by a car in the 50's.

Yeah, it's why I moved to a small town of 1000 people. In order to experience it before it is gone. I WFH as a programmer, so I don't interact with the locals much, but people in the town are like Silent Hill characters (in a good, aesthetic way). Once in awhile I'll see a nonwhite. My hairs on my neck will stand up, my blood pressure will rise, and it ruins the game. But it doesn't happen often as there's no economy here.
