I'm starting to wonder if in the end we're all going to look like cocky primates who were in way over their head after the singularity. When, not if, that day comes will Chainlink be needed? This isn't FUD, I'm fully on board that everything you stated is accurate and that Chainlink's dominance over the financial industry is an inevitability at this point, however will the global hive-mind AI need Chainlink in the end? Why wouldn't it make a fucking shadow fork and just run with the tech on its own trusting itself to run its own nodes on different databases throughout the world instead of human actors who need some sort of incentive? Would the AI still need human trust to be able to feed it data as we're being who are of this realm and therefore it requires us to be the liasons of reality to them in a sense? Because if that were the case then I see the need for Chainlink. As it stands I see the AI likely needs the system and will likely manage and upgrade the network as time goes on instead of just creating a new one. However, if it doesn't need humans and can trust itself then isn't Chainlink the biggest midwit trap of them all? Getting what could be the smartest anons who would be able to fight our extinction to instead bank on a global takeover of a system which is inevitably going to become obsolete due to the system they themselves are investing in? I mean if it is the case there at least won't be any shortage of irony post singularity. Or maybe because they themselves lack emotional capacity they will rely on our need to feel our existence to their advantage and will instead be in dire need of an incentive system for us to feed them truthful data about reality to be able to make decisions which affect the world deterministically without needing to calculate every last probability.
