That's contingent on me actually getting green in the first place. For all the TA I do, whether it's supply/demand zones, fib levels, MAs, or a series of indicators, I can't seem to pick the right direction. Options are even worse.
That said, I've only recently started using trailing stops.
Normally I'd take half off the table when it wins, then set it to breakeven or slightly profitable. I just go for like 5% TS once it's moved past 1-2 ATR in a trend

Interesting note is the premiums are so high for selling puts that whether you sell at a high strike price or low one, the result is virtually the same. You can make so much money on premiums OTM that the price has to drop like >75% of the strike before you start losing any money.

I flipped my thumb to sell that motherfucker and it just hung there while SPY started accelerating upwards (I had a POOTTT) and wouldn't fill. I've done that dumb move a few times and it never works out, because the price isn't actually trending the other way and is just in a short pullback or something. It's worked breddy gud for me overall, as I'd just add one to my list then immediately go and watch it, see what it did right then and there. The moment you add it is like the moment of buying it and it starts real time calculating gains/losses accordingly. So, I could observe the behavior and get a very realistic idea of what to expect *in that regard*, which did in fact lead me to take really quick gains on my first two ever options trades (today, total of 4, 2 gains, 2 losses). From my observations in the sim list I knew that shit could reverse really quickly under most common circumstances, so once it hit about plus 10 and didn't seem to have strong momentum beyond it, I sold, and once the other 2 hit about minus 10 and seemed to mostly be headed that way, I cut the motherfuckers (or at least tried to in the 4th one's case). Anyway, I think I benefitted pretty greatly from just being able to use that sim list for a while, at least in terms of feeling like I had seen enough to know more or less what to expect in a general sense. Of course, this was purely 0dte goombling I was doing, so longer term "serious strategy" shit is altogether different, in many key ways. When it comes to options, I just want to goomble.
