The bump limit was reached.

BTW, to continue from the last thread, it's not about silver or gold, you will want to have both, 50/50 by value in fiat, then balance it against each other.

Avoid buying semi-numimatic crap like Goldmarks (there are 30 online shops selling them, they aren't rare at all) or high premium silver meme coins (buy silver bars).
Also avoid everything less than 999 in silver and gold, there is a reason why you don't even get spot for this when you sell.

Only look at these and use a spreadsheet:
* premium over spot (includes shipping)
* spread
* resaleability (this is always overestimated)
* transportability (not a problem for gold, obviously)
* numismatics are mostly BS and for suckers, only historic coins have real numismatic value

Also, let christ cucks and gun chads post their stuff with whatever. It adds variety.

Thanks for reading my nervous breakdown.

I'll probably take pics of my silver loot soon, because in the last threads some tried to cramp my style by announcing i wasn't stacking silver or i was anti silver or something.
Far from it.
People in here really have some delusions. They look at the market how they think it should be and buy accordingly, not how it actually is.
The current numbers count, current sell/buy, not some arbitrary ratio the Latin Money Union set. There was no good reason for it then, there isn't a good reason now. There is no inherent link between gold and silver.

If you calculate the premiums and reasearch the resaleability, and they com out on top, go for them. Do the maffs. I too bought my silver in Britannias and Maples.
But i think it's a rare case, usually there is cost in minting involved. Bars just get poured into a form and stamped, less cost, less premium, usually.
With silver it seems larger bars are usually better deals with lower spreads, with gold it seems the 1oz 9999 bullion coins are usually best.

Just don't fall for the nice pictures meme coins. People will tell you any kind of cope so they don't have cognitive dissonance:
* the juice
* i'm a collector
* i like how they look
* they will have great value after the crash
* after comex defaults my premiums don't matter

>>55978757
Well, let them, in the past economic unions had a greatly positive influence on conflict resolution and wars. Hopefully this is another case.
As for they control 50% of global oil production, they did so before BRICS and they tried to squeeze the west with OPEC before. The west has liberal democracy as well as innovation and meritocracy on their side. It's not the end of the world.
Besides, look at the New Development Bank, they started with "to be free of the rules for credit at IMF", no they enforce the same rules. These rules are not western, they are economic. The same is true for democracy and personal freedom from government intervention in personal matters, these are humanities values, not western values.
Maybe development that comes with BRICS is the straw that breaks the CCPs strangle hold over their people? There are a few democracies in there.
So far BRICS is over 10 or 15 years old, they don't have much to show. Let's see whether it continues to be just empty words.

I'm not arguing for autocracy or kakistocracy. In fact, the latter is as far from what I'm advocating for as it gets. And yes, white men are checking out because top down western governments have for years made it clear that they are to be discriminated against for the good of diversity and equality, from employees to teachings. White men are seen as the most privileged of society, no one gives a shit about any discrimination they get, so the best thing for white men to do is check out of society. You may as well enjoy your life instead of fighting to preserve a system that is hellbent on rotting itself. A silent boycott is an extremely effective one.

3 times already i purchased fake coins sold as genuine. They are quite easy to spot, even while i never handled originals, i could almost immediately tell they were fakes.
But imho there are a LOT of fakes out there, you better be cautious. Thankfully ebay always side with you, and you even get to keep the fake shit for free kek.
You have lists online of the most faked numismatic coins and way to spot them. Iirc, in the top 20 silver fakes it was mostly chink coins, US trade dollars for asian countries, Yens, then a bit of spanish colonial reales.
But as a rule of thumb, i'd advise you against any asiatic numismatic. Slabbed or not.

Even outside of the UK and their oppressive VAT, silver bars haven't been a great buy this year. Last fall I got this kilo for just over 23 euros/oz. The lowest price on coins I was getting was about 30 cents higher.
This year I wanted to buy more bars, because they take up less space than tubes. But I bought coins instead, because they costed less.

Clearly there is low premium with Krugers, the spread is small and the resaleability is excellent.
I would still go for Maple Leaf or Britannia, because of the advanced security features that leave no doubt to anyone it's a real gold coin.
But the Krugerrand isn't bad, compared to some other stuff.

The reality is there's lots of fakes for some numismatic coins like Morgan dollars. Those counterfeits can even be the correct silver alloy, but they're not authentic, just reproductions. So unless you really know your shit, you can very well get ripped off unless you're buying from a reputable vendor.
And if you start getting into ancient stuff, well good luck if you're buying stuff from random sellers.

Fair enough.
But there are a lot of people that don't know the difference. They can use the security features on modern coins to be sure.
The Maple Leaf has set a high bar, laser DNA, radial pattern. Then came the Britannia and one-up'd them. The redesigned Eagle was disappointing in that regard.

I was looking in to the anon who recently mentioned the incorrect use of Latin cum
>The Latin loanword cum, originally a preposition meaning with, in English has come to mean plus or along with being. It usually takes the form [noun]-cum-[noun], with the two nouns denoting characteristics of a person or thing. It’s often used to describe an individual’s or thing’s contradictory or surprising characteristics—for example, “Jimmy is a hunter-cum-animal-activist.”
>Rufus and Martha Wainwright … have taken up their mother’s annual Christmas-concert-cum-family-reunion project.
>Joe Glenton, a soldier-cum-activist, was jailed today for nine months in Britain for going AWOL

Good morning frens, I wouldn't normally post such a modest haul of cheapies but apparently this sterling bracelet is a valuable discontinued designer piece. Yesterday at goodwill I picked up 602g of pewter to be accessioned into the hoard for $3.18 total (about $13 melt value), and cherrypicked this 14.4g sterling bracelet from their batch of costume junk for $4.24 ($10.50 melt). A fair yet unremarkable price for scrap, but I looked it up and it's a retired design by "James Avery Artisan Jewelry" which sellers are asking quite a lot for. Most are around $250 and the cheapest offering I saw was this, at $199.99 OBO + shipping:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/364187861871

I figure I can undercut the competition and still get 10-15X melt so chucking it in the next batch of refinery scrap is clearly unwise. Keep your eyes open and good luck letting your cheapies pay for themselves anons!

You want to make value-added items, when I get some other projects done I'll dig out the Petrobond, fire up my furnace and cast some "silver knuckles" both in sterling and .999 using these antique knuckles I have as the template. Much more desirable than a typical bar IMHO, but definitely practice with simple things first if you're not experienced.

I worked as a smelter and blacksmith for years, I’m pretty experienced and love smelting and crafting, just sort of stopped for a bit when my wife first got pregnant. Now I’m getting back into it! I’m getting the shavings and findings for way below spot too, which is nice

Will do when I’m back home from work. Only kept a few knives and knickknacks, so I’ll have to dig it out. I worked contractually for a wrought iron fencing company, so it was a lot of fancy railings and key wracks and whatnot. Also did some work doing firepokers and antique firetools for a time for the same company. I never really saved much of the work because it was just “work” for me, at the time. Does a frycook keep every burger he cooks? That said, it was an awesome job. I highly reccomend “the 50$ knife smith” (it’s a book) for a quick and easy home forge.
Sorry for ID-hopping I went out for lunch lol

65oz of silver shinies. Got some Germanias (1oz and 10oz bar) and an ECI 10oz bar. I also ordered 25oz of random sovereign mint and got wieners. Never again will I make that mistake. A few have milk spotting even though they are from 2022…

That affect all coins except the newer maples, because they switched to a new process (they used to get really bad milk spotting too).
If it really bothers you, it should be possible to remove the spots with a pencil eraser. But it doesn't affect the value at all.

They were advertised as new, so I’d hope that they were stored in such a way as to prevent spotting. I’d like to watch them spot or work to prevent it if possible, then it’s my mistake at least.

For new coins mostly the mint is at fault and it has nothing to do with how it was stored.

Fair enough. That’s good to know. I am really pleased with everything else. Each germania bar was individually wrapped and sealed which I thought was nice. They can be fondled.

2022 dates means they're probably just old stock the dealer is trying to get rid of. That's recent enough that it's probably not a buy-back from a customer. I got some cheap 2022 kangaroos earlier this year, in a sealed tube. They were advertised as 2022 roos, and cheaper than the 2023 coins. Basically just clearing out the old stock.

We've already seen silver hit 50 bucks before. I'd dare say, that we'd see it again, even if it hit a 10 dollar an ounce low, within my lifetime.

Was?
What is he even trying to say? That somehow, the mint accidentally did an oopsie and put gold into the 1 cent machine?
Or that they accidentally used to "gold" that's normally used for 10, 20 and 50 cents?
I'm to lazy to check, but don't they use blanks, which in turn must be a specific size for the coin you want to produce and the 1 cent coint definitely isnt' the size of the 10cent coin.
Likely it's just "bad" lighting.

That's exactly what Satan would say to trick us!
Plus, a hot fire in the forge, just like hell.

I'd love to try blacksmithing, my great uncle was one, he was occasionally working in my home towns museum in his old days and I was "helping" him as a wee little lad. Was really great fun. But I guess that's not really a hobby for a small flat where I already have trouble storing my panning gear.
