Fed buys US bonds
Let's the bonds mature and the money disappears and never enters into circulation again
Deflationary events this extreme (in an overeleveraged economy) always leads to extreme economic downturns, risk on assets will take the heaviest hits because people need to liquidate assets to pay off their debt (deflation makes debt worth more) and to buy real assets

That's the gist of it anon, it's a mechanical process that starts with negative money supply growth

Also the process of letting the bonds maturing in the Fed's balance sheet is called quantatative tightening, it sucks money away from the economy, the rate hikes lowers the amount of credit in the economy not the total supply

If the Fed even hints at a rate cut or QE markets will go absolutely crazy and pump like you've never seen before which will bring inflation back, that's the thing with debt, you either pay it off and have deflation or you print money to make the debt worth less, there are no other options.
In the end I think the Fed will pick the inflationary route because a depression would be too extreme, in this case the "2% inflation target" will be a thing of the past

Economy will crash but in flashes, and most people will go through them like yearly occurrences. This is because transactions are moving faster than they ever have in history.

Yes but the reason the great depression was so bad is because the Fed continued to tighten even after the deflationary spiral formed, when they should have done the opposite an injected liquidity to stop it. Yeah Fed in theory can do whatever they want but you have to look at the consequences of each decision.
Like anon's chart shows, when they do too much for too long things get fucked so it's pretty reasonable to assume the Fed has learned from previous mistakes and will be more tactile in their approach.
Assuming Powell is telling the truth about his plans which I think his previous actions support then we can expect rates to be topped or maybe another small hike of like .25 BPs.
In any case, the plan as he states it is to remain at these current rates or at least not cut them until things improve and you really have to ask yourself if everything is achieved why would the Fed cut at all? 5.5 isn't exactly high.
So me and my very limited knowledge of this subject feels inclined to believe that nothing changes until something first 'breaks'.
The Fed wants unemployment to increase
The Fed wants the housing market to soften
The Fed wants equities to let out some air.
The million dollar question is how is that achieved without creating some unforeseen significant damages since everything is intertwined in such a tight way where one sector such as housing or banking having unexpected issues could bring everything down with it far beyond expectations.

While it's true that the graph shows a dip in the U.S. unemployment rate around 2008, which coincided with the global financial crisis and a significant market crash, it's important to note that the unemployment rate alone doesn't provide a complete picture of the overall state of the economy or stock market conditions. The unemployment rate is just one economic indicator among many.

Drawing conclusions about the current state of the economy or predicting stock market conditions solely based on the unemployment rate can be misleading. It's crucial to consider a wide range of economic indicators, such as GDP growth, corporate earnings, consumer sentiment, interest rates, and geopolitical factors, to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the economic and market conditions.

Additionally, the dip shown for July 2023 on the graph may not necessarily indicate that we are at the bottom of a recession. It could be a temporary fluctuation or a result of various factors specific to that time period. To assess the current state of the economy and potential market trends, it's advisable to consult a variety of reliable sources and consider a broader set of indicators and analyses.

literally the only sane response in this thread.

anons here are trying to use reason, logic and limited outsider knowledge to try and deduce how a sporadic child will act when somebody raises its voice at it.
Nobody knows any intricacies of the games being played and a majority of the post's I read has assumptions that are based in some type of fundamental belief in "the system"
Who the fuck knows what they're going to do, but it seems most likely that the playbook that has been used for centuries will continue to be used, as quoted anon has said.
Don't be a sheep, in chaos comes opportunity.
WAGMI you panicking faggots,

Cartels exist because the US' retarded war on drugs makes it an obscenely profitable business. OG Pablo wasn't a fed or a Jew (not sure about the latter but I think not). He was just an entrepreneur who saw an opportunity. The glowniggers took over after they killed him to finance their own shady black ops shit, but they couldn't shut them all down even if they wanted to, there's too much money to be made.

Hardware backdoors are not magic. They're quite limited and too valuable to waste on someone's buttcoins. They won't steal your keys. At least it's less likely than someone coming to steal your physical Reichsmarks. At least I'm much more paranoid about seoneone stealing mine.
