There are massive stockpiles from 2022 for a bunch of sectors like electronics, packaging inks, coatings and automotive suppliers due shortages during COVID. 2023 has been an awful year for most companies in those sectors and you should expect a massive rebound once supply lines look more stable and stockpiles start to get eaten up. I can tell you from first hand experience that Poojeets are selling some products in which the cost is 90% a chemical product with a mark up of 6 rupees of the material cost due how fucking slow the market is. A wave of acquisitions and consolidations is going on in those sectors and you should also expect margins to grow in the long run.

Gazprom just posted some godawful results and Russia stockpile of foreign reserves is atrocious as it holds a bunch of Rupees which they can't even use as Pajeet industry is dog shit and doesn't supply what Russia needs.
I expect a slow decline of the Russian economy until hyperinflation quicks in which is what happened to Venezuela. Russia is simply more resilient and it would just take more time

But they shouldn't. Industrials should always have lower valuation as CAPEX is incredibly costly and that expense should be taken into account. Unironically priced in. They will just say "economic indicators are showing a contraction in the EU area so we don't really have to raise rates, inflation will go away by itself"... as if those graphs show anything at all. The various index graphs tend to fluctuate between 45 and 55, that's just how it is. What we know is that inflation keeps increasing and there seems to be no end to it.
But the central banks fugged themselves by introducing ZIRP when Covid came. Now everyone got used to free money... which they cannot now pay back. Too high rates and the lower classes collapse. So they will drag out inflation for as long as possible, prices will keep increasing, and big stocks will largely benefit. And of course, they will be able to stave off the state debt.
The EU is fugged if you are part of those lower classes

We had one that was a mandatory class but it went over the hard basics like how to make a budget and the difference between principal and interest. Probably did help a lot of people not financially heem themselves the dumb way like so many do but it was a very basic class and limited in scope. Most people are in fact retarded when it comes to anything involving finances, let alone the economy or stocks or anything beyond that. Try explaining the simpler derivatives like a basic put or call option to a random person off the street, they'll look at you like you're speaking another language.
>>55980012
There's definitely not enough done to educate people on how to not be retards with money but if we're being honest most people just don't give a shit. They get heemed on a credit card they blew up, they stop caring about anything but cash moving forward, and they live in a cycle of poverty because they can never use credit as leverage for major purchases like a home or a car. Before you know it you're living in a trailer in your 50's and your only friends are the roaches and the neighbor kid that likes to bum weed off you in exchange for a conversation. Good choice, son. It is a retarded country that has decided to put their wealth into real estate and housing, meaning they can't really raise rates too much, meaning their inflation will be persistently higher than average in the EU (which is true since there is a 9% core inflation after a year of "fighting the inflation" lmao).

For over a thousand years Roman conquerors returning from the wars enjoyed the honor of triumph, a tumultuous parade. In the procession came trumpeters, musicians and strange animals from conquered territories, together with carts laden with treasure and captured armaments. The conqueror rode in a triumphal chariot, the dazed prisoners walking in chains before him. Sometimes his children robed in white stood with him in the chariot or rode the trace horses. A slave, who bore a striking resemblance to late-2010s adult actress Piper Perri stood behind the conqueror holding a golden crown, and whispering in his ear a warning: “You DID buy puts, didn’t you anon?”

You'd have cleared a tidy 12.5% if you'd sold it and just bought more gamestop back when it was in the 16's, it still operates within a cycle and you can just straddle it on basic options or swing it manually to turn a profit. The bigger issue is the fucking inflated prices and the lack of inventory, on top of the fact that small starter homes are not being built these days. People having to offer $50k, $100k+ over the asking price just to get their foot in the door, waiving inspection periods, paying $500k for a house that shouldn't cost more than about $200k. Perhaps. I think it's unlikely, but the point is that 7% only seems insanely high because we've been preconditioned to trust the Fed and their 2% goal. We've been trained to think yields should be negative. Meanwhile, massive government deficits continue.

>>55980771
That would be pretty rough. When people look at real yield, I think most miss the fact that you have to pay taxes on both the real and nominal parts of that yield. Post-tax, you need a high real yield during high inflation just to break even in real terms.

Not necessarily. Look at South Africa. Real estate there keeps going up in nominal (and often even real) currency despite what is essentially a failed state running things and horribly employment. Technically speaking yes, realistically speaking so long as those bond interest payments keep getting made and the budget keeps getting raised no.
