>In economics and finance, a Glownigger Market is said to occur when a country's financial policymakers begin manipulating econometric data for their political benefit. [1] This may be accompanied by organized propaganda campaigns, hidden monetary easing, as well as other forms of financial repression, in order to reinforce the illusion that a nation's troubled economy is sound and resilient. [2, 3] In a Glownigger Market, stocks may seem to rally, even irrationally so, in the face of worsening economic conditions. However, while the goal of a Glownigger Market is to either delay or prevent a politically undesireable financial correction from occurring, the policy actions that led to the Glownigger Market invariably increase the severity of the subsequent financial crisis. By attempting to overpower healthy corrective market forces, a Glownigger Market causes extreme capital misallocation that can turn a minor economic downturn into a severe and protracted economic depression. typically what i do
>look at stocks in my watchlist
>look for a very obvious reversal happening/about to happen either up or down
>buy a ~1 month expiry with a strike price at or near the keltner channel middle line from my charts
>hold for a couple days to a week and close if profittable
>close completely after 7 days left if i'm desperate/stupid enough
i don't look at the greeks because that gets too technical for a simple buy and sell strategy. i'd say its about a 50% win/loss rate for me. when i'm right, i either didn't make the trade or made a small profit. when i'm wrong i've thrown more money into it than i should have or i lose my previous gains.

>buy calls and puts
So if you're not selling or running spreads then your best bet is using options for leverage. Figure out the cost of 100 shares. You would divide by 2, and find the ask at that price if you wanted to buy at 2x leverage for example. If SPY if $440 then find the strike that costs $220. This will generally be deep ITM and act as a synthetic stock position. It will also lower your break even, theta (time decay), and vega (response to IV). I would also try trading longer time frame and longer exp dates (at least 2 months out). Also stick with something highly liquid or you will get fucked on bid/ask spreads, and they won't always react well to price movement. So SPY, QQQ, or the large market cap stocks. Trade with the general market direction as well. Check out optionstrat. Play with the different strikes, exp dates, etc. See how the greeks react.

Check out the past performance of VTI and VOO. They're nearly identical, but VOO slightly outperforms. No point buying both. I personally just put my ROTH 401k and ROTH IRA into 100% SP 500 funds. But if you were looking at stocks then start with the highest market caps. So AAPL, GOOGL, AMZN, etc. But it's easier to set and forget versus worrying about portfolio allocation. Let the fund passively manage the portfolio weighting for you. Also you can't go wrong with VOO, VUG, or a combination of the two.

NVDA literally doesn't even produce anything capable of quantum computing, IBM have, and AMD and INTC are close to that breakthrough. This AI hype is certainly bullish for Quantum Computing, but NVDA's current valuation is quite literally a bubble, since their earnings does not justify their market cap.

The Nifty 50 we're talking about is the bubble from the 1960s/70s. Thought was that the 50 biggest & best blue chip stocks were forever companies, some were monopolies, couldn't go wrong buying them at any price. Turned out to not be the case - valuation always matters. The best business in the world with too high a price is a terrible investment, and the reverse holds equally true - price is what you pay, value is what you get

The market has done exceptionally badly under dementia man, if it really was just "inflation=more money=big investment" then the market should be trending towards 50k on the DJIA by now and 25k on the Nasdaq just on that basis. It is clear that shitty business and market policy has a negative impact on the market.

The problem, ironically, is that these oligarchic companies like META and TSLA are not grateful to the Orange Man for giving them pumpanomics and liquidate their stock shares to then campaign against pro-Trump politicians, which then leads to the market shitting the bed again (as we see with META trying to regain relevance). I can say at least Zuck's only good play was buying Instagram so he could hone in on the post-1990 born people who saw facebook as a gen x/80s millennial thing from 2005 (and then a boomer thing), but he utterly failed to get the post-2000 kids. Oh nyoooo who could have seen that coming? Literally mind-boggling how incompetent we europeans are. How is this difficult? What do they do at their jobs? Just raise rates, demand more amortization, and so on... oh I forgot, the ZIRP policy completely fugged us over and people have trouble dealing with even these small pathetic rates. Here in Sweden, more than 30% of a household's disposable income goes to pay off a house. And that number is only increasing.

Yeah the incoming CPI data for august will rekt everyone. July showed already a slight increase because oil increased a bit at then end of the month. Now oil is getting fucking expensive again, so I'll expect inflation going up again.
Yesterday Ambarella lowered guidance, which means Semis are still fucked for next quarter. there's AVGO coming up, but they might get saved by the server industry. But later in September, we're starting again with Micron, which will AGAIN post some terrible results and guidance, but this time around, I hope that markets won't keep living in a pipe dream of growth and hopefully tank. this will be the end of soxl

It's a tightrope. The last time unemployment was at record lows was right before '08 kicked off, and with how algo-driven things are I could see them reporting actually good jobs numbers being the reason there would be a downturn. What's also curious is the president saying there was near or record unemployment right now literally in the bidenomics video, but the data says otherwise and that unemployment is still up. Either someone is lying or there's a lag in reporting and the next one will actually show record low numbers of unemployment, but honestly with how everything looks right now we're probably looking at a correction sometime in October after one last month of the crab snib-snabbing everybody to death through September.
