The dead zone is weird but otherwise I'd really look at things starting around 7/19 or whenever everything just fell off a cliff and then slowly started uptick again.

I would like to discuss this, but I don't have new information.
I would like to see one real project with a big backer make a first step towards real use.
It would be great if they became this first big user.
That should stop a lot of the fud and finally change the incorrect perception towards the project.

But when will it happen?
Banks are incredibly slow, and slower than I previously thought possible.
Swift has been doing their 2nd PoC for some time too and I think promised some results before the end of the year.

The good news is that they introduced an initial slashing mechanism in the staking v0.2 meaning they plan to speed up the CCIP scaling process and it should be ready for big players by the start of next year.

That being said, after a certain point of publicity, I highly doubt there will continue to be no speculative pump. If ANZ or w/e puts out an official public release stating that they will use chainlink CCIP, by name, I think we'll see another asynchronous pump like 2019 summer. But who knows if any of these banks will bother to do this, SWIFT for example kept their chainlink collaboration entirely under wraps before they officially announced a few months ago... its all so tiresome.

sergey's big mistake was not having a tech company (companies) lined up on the side while waiting for the bank reserves to flow in.

Think more nimble tech companies like Datadog, Cloudflare, Snowflake. I'm sure these companies could be amazing partners given their network tech and software flows, and especially with a company like Cloudflare, they could be an amazing node operator. Sergey needs to get the fuck off the couch and start selling to non-banks
