Bullrun is coming in 12-16 months. Any job right now is effectively paying 10x-35x per hour if you put the money in smart plays.

If you think that "results" are enough to get you into a better paying position, you're wrong. Business is all relationships. Look at any bullshit consulting firm, they produce zero results and still get their fat invoices paid simply because of relationships.

You need opportunities in order to succeed. You only get opportunities through social development. You need to learn how to work with people. Go into the service industry where your income is directly tied to your social skills. Sales isn't the same thing, it's related but until you're dealing tips you'll never learn how to deal with people.

Cost of living increases are done in order to minimize the liquid capital you have available to invest.

Really think about what it is you want. Not what you're told you should want, but what you actually want.

This thread is for:
- Answering questions about finding jobs that pay well despite being not having a significant barrier to entry
- How to bullshit resumes/interviews in order to get these jobs
- Leveraging job experience to job hop every 2-4 months to get better positions
- Overemployment

If you absolutely can't find a job, go become a barback at a restaurant or a bar. Don't work fastfood.

I'm a 23 y/o NEET and hate it. I can't drive yet but am working on it. I want to be an electrician. I need cash for driving classes so I can speed this shit up. Dad has been procrastinating on this shit, doing it maybe 2 times a month every two months for FIVE FUCKING YEARS. My youth is being wasted and I'm sick of it.

Can anybody tell me some work from home jobs that don't need you to go in to the office? And I do mean anything. Anything. I COULD and WILL do weird porn if I have to. (But I'd prefer that was the side hustle)

Ultimately its just to help connect dudes who are looking to leave shitty situation with resources that will get them from A to B as quick as possible.

Some dudes are okay with the NEET life and that's cool.

I got bored as hell sitting at home and dicking around on my computer so I got a bartending gig. Tips are fat and taking cash home every night is great.

If you are decent at math and engineering, good enough to have studied it in college, you are good enough to be a software engineer. There are two paths in software engineering: normal companies and big tech. Normal companies will give you various types of interviews, such as take home assessments, grilling you on a programming language, etc. You can expect a salary of 80-120k starting out, and 150-220k as a senior. Big tech has a standardized interview where they ask you leetcode questions. Starting out you'll make 140-185k and senior you'll make 220-400k. To learn about the big tech interview look at teamblind dot com and search around for leetcode, interview prep, guides

It makes your life much, much, much easier if you have a few years of experience on your resume. You may or may not have this experience in real life. You should put together a resume with no gaps and a work history you can fully explain. You will most likely have to pass a backgrou check. You should figure out how these checks work and how to make websites of "companies", and how to get phone numbers. If you are just getting into software engineering, put down 1-3 years of experience and put the rest of your experience in another industry. Again, this step will make getting interviews exponentially easier

So what I did to get into software sales is I made up fake jobs at some startups and had my friends pretend to be the CEOs and CROs as my references.

My latest gig I made up 100% of my experience, mind you it's bartending so they're not calling references or anything weird like that.

HR is fucking retarded and the fact that they treat gaps in a resume as a red flag is insane. Literally make up the most perfect resume you think they'd want a candidate to have and figure out how to make it believable.

The fastest way for you to get into the states would be by getting a PhD. VC funding is super tight and there's really no shortage of capable tech workers already living in the states.

WeWorkRemotely com is probably your best bet on top of maybe hitting up companies through ProductHunt.

Your absolute best chances would be to go heavy on personal branding and building up a social presence on Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok. That'll give you something to atleast get your foot in the door. The main competitive advantage in this angle is because so many dudes refuse to go this route.

Personal profile:
Lately in my free time I do things such as mountain bike with my partner, hone my cooking skills, or help my brother in law on his farm. I am looking for new work in X field that will challenge me and keep me busy.

Just explain that you are a normie slave that your brother in law is using for free help on the farm. The HR woman will think you are a pushover and hire you instantly.
This part is key so you can exclude a cover letter. never submit a cover letter.

What are your 10-35x plays for the bullrun ?
I was a NEET for 4 years then discovered crypto which incentivized me to actually get a job mid 2020 and rode up from $4k CAD to $250k CAD in Nov 2021
Didn't cash out as I couldn't do anything with that money, and rode it back down to about $5k usd worth atm
Dogshit back-breaking working isn't enticing, especially given I can't even fucking cash out if I ever make it due to taxes literally taking over 40% (even in small increments)

>> No.55957377

>>55956501
Shit man, that's a pretty hard hit.

Tornado cash, XMR, and p2p transactions would have solved that for you. Taking the 40% tax hit would have left you with over 100k. But even if you didn't want to pay taxes you could have just left it tethered up and you'd still have 250k.

You don't have to do 'back-breaking' work. My point, and the point of these threads, is to make it known that through getting a job you get access to a stream of income that can be leveraged into better opportunities for yourself. Crypto could be one angle but you can also invest it into coaching for higher paying skills. Most importantly you're able to leverage the time of other people in the global market to work on your business for you.

Online marketers pushed this weird narrative that working a job is equivalent to slavery and that their magic solution is the true ticket to freedom. "Don't get a job and be stuck in the rat race, buy my copywriting/trading/agency/branding/coaching course for $2,000 so you can finally live a life of freedom!"

You can quit your job anytime and get a new one in an entirely different industry at any time. Social skills are skills, you can improve them and receive a measurable return on time invested.

This idea that sitting at home and flicking your bean is somehow some significant protest against society is literally the same shit boomers did in the 80s, except they did it in a time where they could still end up with 2 commas to their name.

Get a job. Meet people. Leverage opportunities.

I’m really hoping the Director’s opinion holds the most weight in the hiring process since they’re the highest ranking person I interviewed with. But I’m super anxious awaiting the result.

pretty bad. leetcode easy and most can do it within 1-2 months into coding. is not enough. you are not ready. I am not blaming you either

you should realize few things,
> you are against people who code nonstop all their waking hours since they were 12
> job opportunity is shrinking rapidly
> new grads and bootcoampers increase rapidly at this field
> in this field for how young it is (30-40 years), it's expected to not be viable prospect by your 40s so you will need plan B
> in this field it's not like other engineers, lawyers or architectes where as you age in your job, you have to put less time learning and you get paid more, here you have to always double down on learning, and it never stops till you are out. what you learn now, will be irrelevant in 3-5 years. so you actually NEVER stop learning unlike other jobs which is gay

> as it seems AI will prorbably replace 50% or more of cooders in the next 5 - 10 years.
in an already extremely saturated market, you are looking at insane increase in requirements and lower compensation. just simply supply and demand mechanic...

if you are under 30 and didn't invest too much in, i would just switch. go accounting or laywer route.
with everything I said, and you still wanna keep going in on this dead end road, i know how you works because i was like this too. yes you should be able to solve medium leetcodes but what is actually more important is CONNECTIONS. it';s probably the thing you least wanna do but that's how it is rn. you should devote 40% of your free time for making connections because otherwise you are not even getting interview

Got a job that pays $23 an hour for working a plasma cutter table. I haven't worked in 3 years.
Is this alright work and alright pay?
It'll be nights so it won't be hot.

I never figured out what it is that I'm truly stellar at. Therefor I don't know what I want to do with my life even though I'm in my 30's. Sure, I'm good at figuring stuff out online, or learning from videos and remembering all the rules to all the games I play, but those don't pay and I don't know how those apply to work.
At least I know I want enough money for a house so I can attract a wife and have kids.

Any advice?

Still have two semesters left before I get my Master's degree (Computer Engineering). My bachelor's was EE.

I've taken classes in a bunch of advanced machine learning stuff, some embedded security, some embedded design, some signal processing. What should I focus on, bros? Machine learning or embedded systems? Maybe both? Should I do my thesis with a professor or with a company? This tech job market is stressing me out, you reckon it's gonna be better one year from now? Mind you, I can code in whatever you throw at me as long as it's not frontend shit. I also have experience as a data engineer. Python, MATLAB, C are my bread and butter.

If you're worried about the job market then don't, you can always join the air force as an officer. That will take care of your student loans, and get you military clearances necessary for military contractor work. From there move to the NSA, DIA, DARPA, or CIA, or become a contractor and do your previous job for 10x the pay.

Chat with a fabrications guy to go that route, or get into custom GIS for drone fires support automation. Also get some FPGA work for evolutionary chips design and do something related to either bioinformatics sensing and human/machine interfaces.

Your portfolio should consist of projects, extensions above and beyond school wofk.

Math/Physics degree. Only go for a PhD if they'll pay you (a pittiance) for it. From there take classes for free to get masters degree and work on whatever for research.

Wouldn't kill you take one of those accelerated CS bachelor's programs Oregon State University has, it'll pull a degree in 1 to 2 years. You should fly through it.

Another thing to consider is a chemical/petroleum engineer degree, following the same route as the PhD above.

Only go to actually good schools btw. OSU is the only 4 year school worth attending in Oregon.

I'm applying for a fairly big international company with a pretty fake resume. I listed a degree I don't have and a made up job experience (at a business that closed some years ago). My skills are exaggerated but I'd say I can deliver on everything.

The thing is I'm pretty worried about background checks. Is there any chance they don't run a background check to see if my degree and job experience is real or am I fucked?

I'm applying from a country where these things aren't usual but the company is american.

Also, what should I change if I want to get into one of those fields were they ask for experience on entry level job offers?

Hey guys, this is a refreshing thread and I would love to contribute. I make $150k+ / year in a city job.

I also career consult on the side, especially regarding resumes and interview questions. Feel free to ask anything, I'll try to help you degenerates out as much as I can. Couple of things right off the bat that I see repeated here:

>gap in employment
Take care of this easily by completing a work related cert online. For example, if you're going into a security field, do an online first aid course or mental health awareness course. Or a HAZMAT/WHMIS awareness course. There's tons of them, cheap or free, and you'll never need to show proof of date. Then slot these into your gaps accordingly. You can also volunteer in related field and you won't be asked much about it. Flat out lying is not recommended, as you run a risk of having to prove it in a certificate, or by your general knowledge of the subject.

>how to fill in a resume
Chat GPT has basically taken away most of the legwork out of this. Prompt it with your respective field and some of the skills you would like to highlight. Beauty is you can generate multiple versions and edit the one you find most suitable.

Best of luck, and once again feel free to ask away.

Probably your best bet (and what my friend did) is pay some US chick $10-20k to marry. You'll have to meet, vet, and research it all beforehand so you don't get fucked. But it's by far the fastest way into the country. It also helps you're from a country US considers an ally, so the vetting on their end won't be as stringent. You will probably have to show proof of income though so don't be poor.

I would also recommend having multiple passports by tapping into your family's ancestry and see if there's any wiggle room there. For example Ireland might be an easy one for ya and you'll pay way less taxes. Maybe it'll let you tap into some Eastern European country where your cost of living is way lower. Hope that helps.

I figure if I can squeeze about 2 million all in I can coast off the dividends while working a menial job to keep my mind sharp.

What kind of job should I be looking for? I don’t think I want to work in an office. I’ve worked from home for over a decade now and I’m just over it. So yeah I've been trying to tie in my work experience plus the amazon shit to it however I can, like "i sold products" "I serviced customers" "I handled sales data" etc etc.

But the real problem is my gap is fucking massive, like a decade at this point. I have some excuses ready I can use in an interview to explain why without sounding lazy, but I assume I'm never going to even get that far. So getting some random certs to fill gaps and build a skillset would be nice, assuming its something I can do online from home and is free. I have no idea what those would be though.

I spent a lot of my free time when I was a NEET living off crypto and CERB doing cold approach pickup and studying social psychology in person. I was considering going full time into dating coaching but having done it in the past, solid clients are few and far between and I really don't feel like taking money from guys that don't actually want to put effort into learning.

I want to make it really clear that I don't believe in being an employee indefinitely. The whole purpose of getting a job should be to get capital that you can leverage so you can either retire or go into business for yourself doing something that you'd do even if you weren't being paid for it.

Bartending just happens to be the perfect mix of all of my interests and skills so it doesn't really even feel like work for me. So, if you're cool with how much cash you have going into the next cycle then there's no real reason for you to get a job doing something that's way out of left field aside from the sheer novelty of trying something new and getting paid a few bucks for the experience.

That being said, it doesn't hurt making a resume, building a personal brand, and applying to jobs that check all the boxes for you, especially if they seem out of reach. Bullshitting your way into a job isn't really bullshitting if you're confident you can pick it up in 2-3 months, which is basically any job.

TL;DR
Working a bunch of different jobs is a quick way to find what you're good at and what you want and don't want to do and stack a bit of cash in the process to help you do what you want to do professionally.

Find a few things that you're good at and dig.

Ok, thanks for the info. I also read your other thread. Basically my suggestion is this: surround yourself completely in the music industry.

>9 to 5
Yes, unless you want to risk it all with whatever savings you have, having a secure 9-5 job is the first step, ONLY IF it will progress your career/subject knowledge. So don't just get any brain dead wagie job, but focus on getting a music related one; vintage record store, instrument store, concert arena or theater worker, etc...This will allow you to earn money while building connections and knowledge of the industry. Never get a 9-5 for the sake of just earning money, as this will crush your entrepreneurship dreams and make you complacent.
>strengths
Volunteer and your time off/hobbies should be to strengthen your weaknesses and sharpen your secondary skills. Make money teaching music, practice web design, marketing or anything else that you will need to promote yourself later down the line. A lot easier to record and post a song if you already know what software to use and how to use it.

Eventually, being surrounded by the industry will clear up your career path and open up niche jobs you're confident in doing.
>>55966217
You need to narrow it down to a specific industry. Throwing a shotgun blast at a job site will get you only lukewarm responses, if any. It's really hard to tailor your resume and build up certs when you're applying to multiple industries in which certain certs/achievements are inadmissable. Also, a lot of WFH jobs will in one way or another require you to use a phone, so narrowing it even further down (if you for sure aren't comfortable leaving the house) is key. Data entry, IT/customer service rep, or copywriter might be your better options. Beware however that the lower the barrier to entry and hardware, the easier it is to replace you with a bot.

those are pretty good odds. Most jobs have 400-800 applicants. If it's remote, you're competing against 2,000+

Best way to get in is through an inside connection.

Second best is to have a solid social media presence. A solid instagram/linkedin following pays massive dividends.

Contact US military recruiters. Best to worst:
Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard, Reserve Duty Army, National Guard, Reserve Duty Marines, Active Duty Army, Active Duty Marines

Get all recruiter promises in paper.

Don't go infantry, tanker/cavalry, artillery, police, if you can avoid it.

Comms (sigint) is infantry with a 15 lb radio.

Look for a medical, tech, or admin job.

Do 4+ years, get naturalized, get as many skills as you can. See my other posts on enlisting.

Your career must not depend on other people or else "they" can manipulate you into wrongdoing. Many high profile people are corrupt not just because they wanted money. It goes deeper. The people who want to corrupt you can easily infiltrate into your social circle. When you are scared that your own social circle can threaten you, you become vulnerable and prone to corruption.
When you are your own boss, it's much harder for the bad people to get you on their side. There's no social circle they can rely on. They have to speak directly to you, but you don't trust them. Market manipulators hate autistic rich people since they can't get them to do something for them.

>Other important items of my "work experience" include things a teenager would do in their spare time - walking dogs, and doing basic shit on photoshop - which 2 of the 3 sales I had were obtained through my mommy

I am a full on adult with no work history to speak of. My life is a mess, I don't even know how to ride a bike, drive a car, or do pretty much anything that the normie adult population do.
I keep doing things to move forward, but I'm way too different from the average normie. I'm struggling to adapt.
I also doubt myself that I could ever get a normal job and hang out with coworkers, superiors, and stuff, and act like them. I'm way too different, I eat raw animals, drink blood, I sleep on the floor, my sleeping schedule is nothing like normal people, I have been balls deep into learning things like hidden symbolism in media, pol redpills, psychedelics, spells, potions and what not.
So it's not like I don't know anything. I can make a variety of potions and elixirs all the way from seed to the finished product. I have also learned how to grow vegetables, mushrooms, etc. I also speak two languages for everyday use, and a bit of a third.
My main concern is that I don't know almost anything about monetization! I don't know how to make money.
Now I'm working towards entering the work force, and to me everything is a challenge. Even things that people take for granted, like banking, using a phone (I don't like phones), the tax system, etc.
That's my situation. I just needed to blogpost to get it off my chest for a while.
As of late, I have been working on getting myself well set up for sending CVs. I've acquired an alarm clock, I prepared a calendar to keep track of time, etc.
Please someone tell me I'm not completely fucked yet.

Some people were simply never meant to make it, son. I've had heart palpitations as a result of anxiety just from seeing my own reflection for almost a decade now. I need a job where I'm alone (for the most part of course, there isn't a job in the world which is done in complete solitude).
So I went into lab work (material science) and academia. It sucks a big cckk, there is massive amounts of unpaid overtime (60h+/week and you still get paid for 30-40 max), and you gotta deliver results or your supervisor will be on your ass... but for the most part I am left alone.
I have no idea how to improve this crap, m8. Socializing only makes it worse and worse and I won't be taking "medication" for this. Maybe that's the way nature intended for us of us to be.

Anyway, I am now looking into getting into programming since I am quite familiar with Python, Excel, Matlab and data analysis and machine learning. Maybe some cushy gubbermint work or something.

Hey Rabbi! Whatchya doin!?

Nothing scares these fuckers more than someone who isn't screaming some extremist bullshit. It's easy to fuck with people if they don't have any money that are socially inept shutins or the flip side, totally locked in with golden handcuffs utterly terrified of having their FICO score drop 10 points.

Nuance inherently depends on critical thinking. Critical thinking leads to individuals making rational decisions that hedge risk. Hedging risk creates a collective. If this collective peeks out from the boundaries of the overton window then the powers at be start sweating a little bit because that's exactly how they got their wealth.

Getting a job to make a little bit of money so that you can invest it to work strictly on your own terms is a rational approach. Minimal risk, maximum return, with a contingency where even if it doesn't work out, at least you've got a monetizable skillset and a network of people to work with.

They want you to have zero community, zero wealth, and zero opportunity. Testosterone makes effort feel good.

This is physics.

We increase force through stacking cash and building a skillset.

We multiply force through leveraging connections and opportunities.

The output of work exponentially increases past a tipping point where it is functionally effortless.

It just takes a lot of energy to get momentum going for the flywheel.

The most efficient way of trading time for money is creating evergreen products. You put the time in upfront and collect the dividends over the lifetime of the offer which exceeds the time needed to create the product.

Example being creating a Dating Coaching course behind a paywall of $20 a month. There are three systems that need to be created.
1. Lead Generation
2. Lead Conversion
3. Lead Retention

If you dial in these three systems and decrease the friction of purchasing while simultaneously increasing the friction of non-renewals then you're able to earn significantly more money than you would working hourly.

The caveat being the skillset needed as well as some capital to feed the machine. Essentially you're right though, work comes first and then the fruits after it.

Any advice for this? The free cert training from google seems appealing for this reason but its still a 6 month time investment. I am however learning a language (Japanese) because that is actually something I have a genuine interest in, but that doesn't really narrow it down because all that means is I can work in whatever field except in japan/in japanese. Also its going to be a while before I'm fluent enough to monetize it.

Being able to increase my lacking skillset without overcommitting to a field or industry I know nothing about would be nice, since I have practically no skillset and I desperately need to boost my earning potential and resume. While it is hard, I understand that this is also difficult for the company and that this isn’t personal. I truly loved my Channel Development position and the team I was a part of, and was producing great results for the company (near 300% of quota).

I’m early in my career, and eager to continue developing. I am searching for opportunities related to sales and marketing. I’ve attached my resume with my experience thus far, and am happy to provide references. I’m humbly coming to you all to see if you know of any opportunities I may be a fit for, or if you could provide company referrals.

I got an interview next week for a government job I really want. I've been neeting it up for 5 months though and I know it's gonna be difficult, but it's a good position for an autist and the pay is really good. Pretty excited, I hope it goes well.

Locksmithing and welding is good. Really depends on what your existing inclinations are.

Welding is what I recommend for anyone interested in metal sculpting because it's already what they do, just without the meme art degree. The rest is bronze casting, which you can learn on YouTube.

Locksmithing is another excellent trade, especially if you're already doing it. Go watch Bosnian Bill and start picking, then visit a locksmith and ask them about pickproof locks (answer: Abus brand locks). Then ask them if they need help answering phones, dealing with inventory, and so on. Keep watching YouTube videos and picking harder locks while you post on lockpicking forums and study for locksmith certifications from their professional organization.

If you want to learn about other trades, read the last part of this article pertaining to them.

Kek, OTS has a huge rejection rate. You're talking about it like it's the last branch on the tree you can grab before you hit the ground yet you need to be Captain America to get accepted. Every time I visit this shithole site I'm reminded that the users are loudmouths who don't have the slightest clue what the fuck they're talking about. I guess that's the benefit of anonymity, you can just carelessly spew an unlimited amount of bullshit and clog up the airwaves with noise and face zero challenges to your credibility. Great.

do they not realize that this benefitted literally no one? UPS drivers already made really good money, the same drivers have been doing it for 20+ years. you don't just become a UPS driver overnight. you have to literally slave away in the warehouse for at least 10 years minimum before you ever offered a driving job. and even then if you fuck up and have an accident they put you back in the warehouse again. but glorify it if you want lol/.

Meh, already got my toes wet with that idea, and made some sales. But to do anything with a serious income potential you'd need to be 100% within the confines of the law, and such. I'd just be competing with everyone other random lotion, herbal extract, or whatever.
I only rely on a small garden with dogs living in it, so it's not like I can grow all the plant matter needed to make it work properly. If I were to buy the matter from someone else, then that eats into the margins too, and it's the same as running a business with making any other product.
Don't get me wrong, running a business is the most legit way to make money, but it's also extremely uncertain and irregular. Specially if you are starting up and not know exactly what you are doing.

I still think my best bet is to break into normie wageslaving life. I'm struggling with laziness though. I'm too comfy, this is the dark side of NEETing for years. You get too complacent

No. Absolutely not. They’ll hire homeless bums with zero work history as long as they have no criminal record and a car to drive the tards around. They hired me after all. It’s very low pay and lots of hours, but it’s extremely easy 95%+ of the time. It’s not a career. It’s a cash flow while you’re going to school or getting other training or working trying to turn a side gig into a full time income.

I just got fired from a job where I sold medical devices for a really old "start up". For almost ten years they never turned a profit and I brought their presence back to the US and got like 100% increase in sales just by calling fuckers. Anyway, I was supposed to become the product manager with a payout but decided not to because I would've had to move and my parent was dying. Soon after I got demoted to customer service and now fired. It was a great experience nonetheless, I traveled a lot and saw the world, even got my first speaking opportunity at a trade show.
My resume is very impressive but I'm not getting any interviews, even from my network. The CEO of my company that fired me said he can reach out to execs but it'll take a while.
I have 2ish years of experience in specialized medical device sales with achievements in my resume. How do I go on

I have experience doing electrical design work, interviewing/training employees, writing procedures and technical documents, and all kinds of troubleshooting.
