The more you understand Chainlink the more you appreciate why they want us out.
It is either an insane coincidence or a blessing from God, however you want to read it, that Chainlink happened to launch during a very, very brief period when retail was allowed in at the ground floor.
If they'd waited a couple more years it would never have gone on sale to the public at all.

>Founder apparently blows six-figures a night in clubs...
>Founder claimed to be working with the Bank of Ghana, but that is apparently false

You guys are actually dumb, you believe they will use just one token for all operations in their new system? There are many use cases and a token for each, LINK is probably only for smart contracts/oracles. Settlement could be using other, like XRP, which is more efficient for this use case, tokenization of assets could also be in another blockchain, and so on. This war between schizos and marines is meaningless

XRP schizo's think that they won by making the most efficient chain for settlement via their methods of channeling liquidity to even the most illiquid markets. They now realize that their own system will need oracles are are stupid enough to think that making their own oracle is the solution. They don't realize that in order to make an efficient oracle which can get past the sybil vulnerable period you have to start with a somewhat centralized network with only trusted nodes which have a real world reputation to upkeep. What chainlink did by working with SWIFT since 2015 is take the entropic trust of their reputation and essentially used it as collateral to skip past that vulnerable period. They've since been partnering with financial institutions that have the upmost respect in the world of finance with ease given their first partnerships. Now even if XRP wants to beat Chainlink at their own game, they have to offer better security, better prices for the services, and they somehow now have to cross the chasm of sybil vulnerability and make themselves hold more trust than the Chainlink network. Those prerequisites all have to happen before the XRPL oracle actually even attempts to capture a marketshare of the oracle industry for it to even be able to have a realistic chance. They can't do either as Chainlink already has the trust of the most respected financial institutions making their attempt futile. If they want a future with them in it, they will have to bend the knee. With Chainlink you just win.
