I wish I had gone to an elite university when I had the grades to do so. I have never been surrounded by nerds. I have never done anything prestigious.

I wish I had done a maths or physics degree instead of my shitty boring mechanical engineering degree. I was doing job training when others were learning the secrets of the universe.

I wish I had passed any of those job interviews I had during university for all those banking jobs. I am ugly and had shit social skills back then (still bad now but back then I was worse).

I wish I had worked harder in my youth. I should've taken on a part time job at university for more money and just to learn hard work. I should've worked harder at my degree even though the degree was boring. I would've benefited from putting effort in to something hard and technical even though I never wanted to go in to mechanical engineering. I wish I had worked more hours after I graduated, even though I only had shitty retail jobs at the time.

I wish I hadn't felt so sad and like a loser when I was younger, either in university or afterwards. The idea of thinking of myself as a loser when I was only 24 sounds hilarious now. No male aged 24 can be a loser.

I wish I had started to care about personal finance before the age of 28. I didn't give a shit about this before then.

I wish I had spent much, much, much, much more of my free time working on productive stuff or learning stuff. I waste 98% of my free time.

I worked throughout college, almost full time at times while also commuting 2 hours each way to school.

I did not study anything prestigious but I've been into personal finance since I graduated college.

I've also had a but of luck. I've accumulated a nice nest egg for my age (also 28) and guess what?

It still isn't enough to buy a house in the u.s. of a.

Just focus on getting your stacks up to capitalize on the upcoming asset crash. We still have time to make it.

this is me down to a tee except i skipped almost all my classes and just networked with nerdy students to get a good internship with my shitty GPA (3.35), now I got a decent career after being a neet for 6 months after graduating. I also graduated with almost debt cause first gen college students gets you fat scholarships.

Mechanical engineering is a dumb degree but we're not getting laid off right now huh?
