Look at the silver bugs that can't sell their "riches" and had to sell below spot, three of them in the last thread.
Gold coins don't have this problem.

Also, BRICS decided their Singapore lenders bank will not lend to Russia. The infighting starts.

Every thread we have one or more people trying to sell their silver or telling uns they sold below spot because nobody would pay their premiums. I have silver myself because i can, but the Comex short squeeze myth is based on Bart Chiltons death-bed confessions. Making financial decision based on this shit is like buying Bitcoin or Gamestop.
I understand you have to rationalize the high premiums of your coins, but it has nothing to do with solid investment theory. I can only take your opinion on silver serious if you bought the cheapest 9995 bars in the 1kg+ area. Buying 1oz silver coins for $39.95 plus shipping is not investment, it's stupid.

It is my preferred seller as well, but just recently I went back in to my local LCS that was price gouging on junk silver and found that the LCS is a far superior deal. I recently made a purchasing using ACH in order to start saving some money on premiums and found that I still lost money. And ontop of that, the wait times are atrocious for some reason (as opposed to paying by credit where things ship and arrive within 4-5 days).

Paying with cash is the superior way to go with PMs. And I feel a hell of a lot better not having my CC statements being bloated with PM purchases. And paying with cash also keeps you from sitting around impulse buying PMs online when you are bored.

Just as buying Ag for the long run is valid, so is stacking fiat for the times when the dips occur. Both sides of that coin take nerve.

Awesome coins frogbro, those would be wonderful numismatics to collect. Modern "limited mintage" contrived scarcity gimmicks are nothing but bait for plebwits, nothing like your foray into real history and rarity. You save lots of money by stacking cheapies, so treating oneself to fairly priced or preferably below-market deals on numismatics is a sensible way to round-out the stack/collection. Regarding your concern, besides the normal variance in the weight of planchets until the industrial revolution's improved production techniques made coins more uniform, at least one of them looks like it took a trip to the synagogue and got circumcised, if I'm right the clipping isn't too severe though. Plenty of unclipped medieval coins are lightweight because of circulation of course, since they were often so thin (high surface area to weight ratio versus moderns) normal handling would remove a greater percentage of the weight. Also, they were all dug up and surely suffered some degree of loss from chemicals in the soil/water. The lighter weight is truly nothing to worry about with any of those coins, they are all absolutely genuine my fren.

>I got mercs for 19x FV last week

I had business in a town about an hour away last week and when done I visited a coin shop there for the first time.
Talked with the boomer running it for about 15 minutes and he was beyond based, I was going to buy some extra storage tubes but he just gave them to me because "These are the only things I have to collect and pay tax on, screw the IRS I hate 'em so I'm just giving them away now!" I brought some silvertowne 10oz bars with me in case I found anything I wanted to swap for and asked what he was paying, I was surprised to hear it was $1 over spot or $23.40/oz at that time. He had a little tray in the display case of constitutional and was only asking 18x face, then apologized for having to charge that much but he needs to make a little to keep the lights on etc. I mentioned not seeing many of my preferred mercury dimes and he waltzed to his safe and pulled out a big heavy sack (~$250 or so) of dimes and replenished the tray then said he had 5 more of those bags in the safe I could look through if I was in the market for quantity. I was happy to trade 10oz bars at $1/oz over spot for merc dimes and walkers at 18x, and when we concluded I asked if he needed to see ID or have anything signed. "Hell no man, the government already knows way too much about all of us as it is, buying and selling metal privately in cash with no paper trail is the way it's supposed to be so that's the way I've always done it."

Yep I'll be going back lol, that dude is cool as hell and his buy/sell spread is about as narrow as I've ever seen. I wish I knew about his shop years ago.

I'm probably one of those gold bugs you're referring to,I'll give my pov ,gold has more appeal in terms of history and makes better gains than silver does even if they move similarly in the markets, you can put $10,000 worth of gold in 5 oz coins in your pocket if you need to ,
>Inbf small Tokyo apartment size lol
Plus silver does have higher premium than gold, but I'll admit that the Britannia gold poster seems to be exaggerating silver premiums and is being dishonest, all I want to do is inform others on making better choices and if you have the disposable income to by a 100oz of silver bar I say go for it ,if you want to by 10 oz gold with $20k I say go with it but just know what pros and cons there are for both, most people on here fell for the silver to the moon screencaps that get posted here from time to time and I'll admit I fell for it to,wanna call be a shill, jew or a glowie.I've been calling iqdelet that for a while now when ever it questions my beliefs, cognitive dissonance is one hell of a drug and most silver bugs are in a cult mentality believing that silver will moon to $100 an oz .The real question is ,will the jews allow that to happen in our lifetime?I wouldn't get my hopes up, and most anon have that problem as well ,of hoping the suppression will stop then being disappointed that their high expectations aren't met.

Sure I can repost, but first I want to show you the little ancient Greco-Gallic bronze coin from Massalia (modern Marseille) that I couldn't locate when I showed a pic of my silvers from Massalia, I found it hiding in a box of ancient Bronze Age artifacts I was looking through recently. I need to put it under my microscope and do some careful cleaning with my micro pen/needle tools but it's a decent example of the type. You have thousands of years of numismatics to choose from right there in France, us burgerlards need to look far and wide to satisfy our historical hunger.

I don't know Parthian coinage so I wouldn't have wanted to spend days and days trying to identify a bag of loose coins before selling the ones I didn't want, but with the notecards it will be super easy to flip the ~60 or so I'm not keeping.

My blood boil for the fictional gramp i just made up in my mind, knowing such a beloved collection will end up being converted in one shitty weekend at dysneyworld or whatever normie bullcrap..
But maybe it's not the case, in any way, it's not lost for everybody for sure.

I know this is Top Secret so i wont ask for the formula, but can you tell me if you found it via categories or via keywords (if found on ebay)?

>I'm keeping this Hadrian Tetradrachm from Egypt
I love it. I myself studied in lenght the Ptolemaic dynasty back in the days, being fond of both ancient Egypt and the hellenistic period, i was naturally attracted to it. Truly a fascinating period of history.
If you didn't have the opportunity yet, i can't advise you enough to visit ancient Egypt. If it wasn't for the hordes of swarty, ugly annoying locals this place would be a paradise. An amateur of history like you must visit at least once in your lifetime the incredible temples alongside the banks of the Nile's river : Edfu, Luxor, Kom Ombo, Abu Simbel, Philae, Karnak, Hatchetpsut..
You will experience being a 10yo kid once more. And god knows how rare it is to be truly, sincerely amazed once we grow older. This is truly priceless.

So, with the Covid lockdowns getting ready to hit, can I propose that we, as a community, ban together, and start seeking out, and finding people who are willing to trade and barter services and provisions, for Gold and Silver now, instead of simply 'HOPEING" that when SHTF, people will suddenly realize that they need to trade in something other than worthless fiat?
We need to network, BEFORE the SHTF... and even if it never does, how cool would it be to have people willing to exchange something of value, their time and labor, for something with real value, aka Gold, Silver, Food, Water, etcetera?

Yes. Fakes are mostly a problem with numismatics where value is attached to factors other than metal content and so easier and more lucrative to fake. Buying bullion from a reputable dealer is almost fool proof.

Of course. But that is bullish for gold. Nobody is going to take the South African Rand in trade. It will be too unstable. SA will probably be the first of the BRICS to start using a gold currency for trade. They really have nothing else. And China and Russia are not in it for charity purposes.

Now I do! Just bought another monster box of them 2 weeks ago, when prices were low. Now I'm up to 1100 wieners, 600 britannias, 580 noah's arks.
Someone else here posted a pic with like 5 monster boxes of wieners. I guess that's basically all he stacks. But it's not a bad choice in europe, they're cheap and extremely liquid.
Britannias were actually a bit cheaper last year, but now they've gone up. I guess it's because of the queen/king split and coronation stuff. Still wondering if I should get one each of those special edition coronation coins. They cost more than regular britannias, but they're limited mintages (200k and 150k). Also thinking about starting to collect these tudor beasts. I missed the queen's beast series and they're expensive now, but these ones aren't yet.

europabullion.com has them, but I don't completely understand how their pricing works. I thought you have to add 1.25% shipping insurance to the listed price (83.33)? But it says "gross price" which kinda sounds like it would already include that. So I dunno. Does anyone order from them?
They also have the same bars in 10 oz and kilo sizes.

I bought the collection from my dad's favorite coin shop while back in the hometown visiting friends and family. The owner of the shop collects ancient coins relevant to the cultures and events in Biblical history so I was invited in on the day they sort and price things but are closed for normal business to look at his collection, show some of mine and talk coins. His collection is truly incredible, holding different rarities worth many thousands each was awesome and we talked about ancient coins, history and antiquities for almost 2 hours. I brought and showed some of my most special ancient artifacts which he found quite interesting and educational as his expertise is mostly just coins/bullion.

I asked if he had any ancients for sale, he had none in the display cases but pulled out that collection to show saying he wanted to sell it all together and not piece anything out. After looking through it I was sure $500 was a bargain. There are other oldfag dealers he knows he would have sold it to so I think he offered it to me because of our mutual interest in ancients, maybe as a sort of favor or motivation to continue down a path that is arcane even among coin autists. And yeah I'd love to do some traveling around the world to see wondrous ancient places. I've never even been out of the US yet which might be a bit sad, but I probably appreciate and enjoy ancient civilizations from a distance better than many who were born in their shadows manage to. And since you like Ptolemaic history and have a fondness for chunky medals, you should get yourself a big fat ~65-70g Ptolemaic bronze drachm to fondle, they're truly impressive coins and reasonably affordable if you watch and wait for deals.

Not a bad idea in any event. But it seems like something you need to work out with individual local vendors. For example, you might go to the farmer's market and find someone who sells beef and convince them to take silver in trade. The worst that can happen is they say no. And then send a gang of thugs to your house to torture you into revealing the location of your stash. And then drug you and sell you to an Arab in Dubai as a sex slave.

>I've never even been out of the US yet which might be a bit sad
As someone who visited his fair share of countries, it's overhyped but for few exceptions. It's even depressing at time, because no matter where you go, you see how fast have spread globohomo (in the global homogenization sense). Same buildings, same streets, same traffic panels, same cars, same clothes, same stores, same everything. Standardization sure helped making us more efficient, but at the price of the sovl of nations. It make you realize the NWO is inevitable, because in truth it's already here.

The only valid reason to visit a country is to go for the museums and historic places. No surprise my best memories were Italy, Egypt, China and Turkey.
Special mention to Greece who was complete shit sadly : empty museums (anglos, germs and frogs took anything worthwhile kek) and ruins who barely looks like 2 boulders on top of each other, very disappointing compared to my expectations.

But a fertile brain and good reads will always mog a normie visiting old assembled rocks. After all, it's the tales who make history interesting. So i totally agree with your take, no need to be sad, we already are incredibly lucky to be able to read Philo, Caesar, Hecataeus and Herodotus for free from the comfyness of our homes, this alone is worth all the trips in the world.
I wish more ppl would appreciate how incredibly lucky we are to have access to endless literature from all ages and all corners of the world. It may not last.

This just reminded me the kikes are about to close Archives.is, and now i'm feeling beyond angry.
