I made a fully decentralized sports betting platform. I've waited a long time to make this post. No kyc, fully decentralized results feeds thru the chainlink network. It uses polygon matic for now so the transaction fees are super low, but I'll add ccip for multi-chain support asap. its designed to be fully tamper-proof, no one can fuck with the data/steal funds/any other bs. It's like a digital vending machine for sports betting, the site is just running on its own. Right now, I've only enabled MLB games for initial testing, and I've bet a bit on games this afternoon to give some incentive to people that want to bet. this is officially the launch i guess, /biz/ bros, you heard it here first. the only fee is a flat 2.5% fee on new bets, which is allocated to an erc20 token (mintbet shares) that represent proportional ownership. for anyone that uses the platform today, I'm gonna be giving out shares. the telegram and email address are at the bottom of the page. also adding parlay bets, more sports, decentralized chatboard, and some other stuff. I'm probably one of the most generous anons on biz and if there's anything you can do to help this project succeed, I'll do my best to reward you.

You have made a massive mistake. Doing this for me would have made you a symbol in the world of intellect and literature. It is so typical for someone like you to forget this. It is so typical for someone like you to use abbreviated words. I was prepared to open your world to my knowledge and share my stories and art, with you. You will forever regret the choice you just made, so I will offer to let you do this project again. If you do not, you will have to face the consequences. /biz/ is dead.

that's a good idea, maybe I will. I'm working with referral partners that run illegal sports streaming services, referrals get a 40% cut of their user's bets forever, even if the users come back thru a different domain. (associates wallet with referrer address in smart contract). big sports gambling platforms pay about 40% if rev in ads, this is the same result but without struggle on our end.

haha well I'm not claiming to be a saint or anything, but I will work like a slave to make sure my users have the best experience. It's got some good stuff going for it, for people that use crypto and want to bet on sports, this will become known as the most accessible, most fair, cheapest, highest security, most private option available. I've even designed the platform to be upgradeable and extensible, I want to build make this known as THE BEST option for sports gambling for everyone. That's why the mvp launched with 24 languages fully translated/styled to work properly, even the right-to-left stuff.

Wow. That's impressive stuff. TWENTY FOUR.
But tell me, have you considered other forms of vice to bolster your coffers? Why stop at a mechanism that transfers wealth from poor and/or stupid gamblers into your slimy grasp when there's a whole world of degeneracy to wrap your tentacles around?
I'm thinking, trustless web3 exchanges between junkies and drug dealers, byzantine fault tolerant meets between trafficked women and billionaires. A booming sector by all accounts.
Seems like you're leaving a lot on the table.

there are a few markets this might appeal to. there are no limits, so high-net-worth gamblers may choose this solution for cross-border betting, for example. it might appeal to those that have no viable alternative. it might appeal to those that simply don't want to pay taxes or give out their personal information. I agree that asymmetrical payouts are a major incentive, that'll be among the earliest additions.

haha well thanks, I think it's neat, too. Did you know google made a font that has glyphs for nearly every language? that's helpful to minimize the amount of data we send to the clients. the mechanism transfers wealth from the incorrect to the correct, and pays for the infrastructure along the way. I'll apply this concept to loads of other stuff when chainlink functions releases, the external adapters are a pain in the ass.

>> No.55882956

>>55881795
no rugging is possible. I'm embarrassed to say that this mvp launch already had a small error resulting in delayed game results, flagging a game error in the system. the result of this is that all bets have been returned/made eligible for withdraw, and this represents the worst case scenario. A custom chainlink external adapter is configured to collect results from an API provider, and the chainlink network aggregates a number of these queries before passing it to the mintbet smart contract. the mintbet smart contract has additional layers of additional error checking/validation to prevent other types of issues from causing errors such as doubled up games, games with errors/delays, etc.

>> No.55882964

>>55882919
yeah, I'll add some EPL asap, I should have done that instead of MLB which I know has far less viewership.

>> No.55882990

>>55881795
I should specify that rugging is not possible for a few reasons; user bets simply have no way to be removed from the system other than user withdraws, so only users with winning bets/returned bets (in the case of error) have the ability to withdraw funds. The rake fee goes into a special pot allocated to the mintbet share holders to withdraw, where the amount you can withdraw is equal to the proportion of shares you own. the token isn't ruggable because I've implemented a lock-up period. 30% of the shares were initially given to the admin wallet, and the remaining shares are distributed linearly over ~2 years. I want to wait until the system is a bit more stable before I offer any kind of token sale, just to ensure I can navigate a major upgrade if needed.

There are a couple benefits! In many states/countries you cannot bet sports or the kind of betting you can do is severely limited. Since there is no kyc, sports enthusiasts anywhere in the world can bet. Users can bet as much as they want too since we are not a counter party. In other books like Draft Kings, you are betting against the house, so they have to make up for the risk, with higher fees. On our platform, you are betting against other users. This difference means that our fee, 2.5%, is much lower than theirs. It's all on smart contracts so bettors don't have to worry that we will take their money and run.

>> No.55885620

>>55883473
the chainlink network allows for an extension of the network's data feeds through something called external adapters (and soon, chainlink functions). This allows a cluster of nodes to provide additional, offchain data from multiple oracles, which reach a consensus on the data before returning the result to a smart contract. For now, the external adapters of mintbet are using a single data provider, and we're working on a prototype for querying multiple sport data providers at once to further improve the security of the data feeds.

the probabilities are set by bets, user bets are allocated against each other. for example if the state of bets is 30 matic on team A and 70 matic on team B, then the odds are 30%/70%. payouts are proportional, if you own half of the winning pot, you're entitled to half of the loser's pot. In this example, if you had bet 15 of the 30, you'd win 35.
