you really never learn, do you? The underlying index is one of the biggest ETF winners in the last 10+ years. The natural momentum of SOXX and S M H goes from ATH to ATH. If you intend to short these indices, you have to time your entry AND your exit near perfectly because once they pump, you will never see your original entry point again. If someone longs semis, they don't really care about downturns because they can always just wait it out, it always goes back to ATM historically. Almost all semis beat expectations and are crushing it. Say what you will but the US tech sector is running at full speed and at very high capacity. The US tech sector is once again poised to retake the world because everyone else is going to sheit. EU is struggling, China is struggling, and other Asian countries are mostly just for manufacturing, not true innovation. This is playing into the US hands all too well if you ask me. And now with the insane amount of spending they are putting into tech/semis, there will be no more doubt about US supremacy.

Pray tell me why there would be a massive crash in the US industry sector, especially in tech?
Low PPI, high core inflation, nice profits, generous wage and wage raises, can dictate prices because of no competition, a lot of debt obtained either during ZIRP policy and a lot of debt which is set to mature far in the future so mega caps are generally less affected by the "high" rates.
Sure, we might see a bit of bearishness but overall I just cannot see a crash happening.

That would be a bit too convenient, now would it? We have seen a lot of software companies shed a lot of useless personnel and getting away with it (META for instance). It boosts profits and increases efficiency. We all know that a lot of jobs are straight up bs and un-necessary so these giga corpos still have a lot of room to "effectivize".
For people with real skill, these last two years have been a true blessing. For people without skill or that are holding some crap jobs with shit pay, well...
But that's how it has always been. Inflation serves as a way to make the richer even richer since it is percentage based. The poor will always get the poorer end of the stick.
Quality companies have gotten by and even increased their earnings and results without having to resort to firing people (but hirings have definitely suspended).

There is no precedent for a judge to take a product out of market over a case like this. What ARM wants is a settlement and what the judge will rule out if it favors ARM is for Qualcomm to pay a premiun for the licenses or something of sorts. Qualcomm is one ARM's best clients and they are not interested on alienating their entire customer service when most of them are looking for an excuse to double down on RISC-V

Convenient, yes. That's the point.
Keep in mind that AI doesn't just impact useless job, as you said, companies can shed these without needing replacement anyway, but it also makes skilled jobs more efficient. For example, AI is now already being used in law firms to draft up entire cases, analysis, etc. There still need to be lawyers to proofread and adjust, but it does mean a lot less employees and a lot less time is needed to reach the same end result. you certainly aren't doing that by shorting the S&P500 lmao.
