I have no inside information. Bank of Japan will not be able to defend the yen. And then everybody will start to panic in Asia. It will spread to all financial markets. Just my observation.

That is somewhat good explanation. It is a little more complex, and you have to take into account the whole Asian market (especially South Korea), but in Japan it is going to start with yen. And then it is going to spread around the world.

In September last year. The Ministry of Finance bought $19.5 billion worth of yen to support the currency when it weakened to 145.9 on Sept. 22. Ministry of Finance of Japan does not have enough money to buy yen because it can not sell bonds. And FED has a problem with emergency bank lending facility (BTFP) that rose by $378 million to a new record high of $107.2 BN. There is not enough money to save everybody. And the FED is a lender of the last resort.
