Kadena is highly flawed, Each shard has the same execution env, the same finality properties, the same DA mode, the same languages, same AA tradeoffs.

We pay tax on welfare in my country, and as per usual you earn more if you work, and even if you end up in a higher tax bracket that is only the case for the money above the bracket so while I am technically in the 30% bracket I pay much much much less because most of my income is in the lower bracket. If I worked in a retail store I would not lose money, I would have more money.
Your country also likely has a welfare program where you can earn a certain amount with a slight reduction in welfare so that you have incentive to work 30% for example and earn up to x amount in addition to your welfare, making you more motivated to continue working more and get back in the game.
