Hal Finney is the creator of Bitcoin, wrote the Whitepaper with 2 other buddies. He wanted to polish the system to be more private, fungible and effectively usable.
He died in 2014 after 2 years of illness, just when Satoshi stopped transacting. He was an autistic nerd genius, and created this massive legend.

The real Bitcoin is Monero. Hal just died too early to see the most perfected implementation take shape

> muh pedo, muh glowies, muh mining is secured by inflation
Fact is, only XMR can facilitate trust less oil and gold purchases across continents.
Cope seethe dilate, there is only 1 coin

Monero can't scale just like all the rest of this shit, it's useless.

Based Hal Finney is unironically one of my heroes I was convinced I had ALS for awhile and learned a ton about him, although I don't have ALS I'm quite sick so I can put myself in his shoes.

Everything is so fucked now, I envy the dead most days but ALS is terrible.

it can sufficiently to facilitate all oil, hold, weapon, energy trades, or like Bitcoin maxi wet dream, become some kind of reserve currency. If you want scalability use Algorand, Skale or Hbar, but it's clearly not where you store wealth. Layer2s, etc.. this is the same debate over and over. One system can't do everything due to the laws of physics

>satoshi nakamoto never had a bitcointalk account, the satoshi account there was controlled by hal finney
>hal finney is not satoshi nakamoto, even though it makes sense
>actual satoshi is phil zimmermann, the guy who got sued by the united states because he wrote pgp, actual software that changed the world once already. after that mess of a lawsuit he swore never to publish something non anonymously.
>hal finney was phil zimmerman's first employee for pgp
>first name hal mentions in his last post on bitcointalk is phil zimmerman
>pgp was bought by mcAfee corp. in the 90s

>be phil zimmerman
>be subscribed to the cypherpunk mailing list
>wonder why everyone on here is doxxing themselves
>even hal doxxes himself in this mailing list even though I told him to step up his opsec
>see their main goal is p2p currency
>read the papers that nick szabo, adam back, and hal finney wrote for cypherpunk
>smug-pepe.jpg
>come up with a working solution by combining their papers.
>start coding in 2007 be finished with a working prototype end of 2008
>time to publish this bad boi
>need a good pseudonym, what was hal's neighbours name again? something nakamoto
>need good opsec, copy adams writing style and hide british messages in the genesis block
>neat, any neet will think its adam back, and some triple digit iq's will think its hal
>drop bad boi on mailing list blowing everyone's mind
>first to answer of course its fucking hal finney
>get him to work on bc for free
>next day, look over his shoulder at work "what are you working on hal"
>"something called bitcoin phil" some anon from japan made it, magic internet monnies
>stop posting from nakamoto account and let hal handle the rest.
>hal pretends to be nakamoto until he's kill
>bitcoin shits itself in the blocksize debate

What about Len Sassaman?
https://evanhatch.medium.com/len-sassaman-and-satoshi-e483c85c2b10

Otherwise in order i believe satoshi was found and killed or is in prison or held hostage by the US or china or whatever
And second guess is he moved on to monero
Last guess is he was Hal and died
But nice story about zimmermann anon

Monero is for criminals

Being able to see transactions on the blockchain is actually a good thing. It allows us to stop scammers and hackers by preventing them from having an off ramp.
