You can still work towards finding a good job, earning a big salary, then saving your money into a diverse portfolio of low-cost index funds.

Alternatively, you can start down the coiner path of taking weeks to verify on an exchange, agonize over missing pumps due to delayed wire transfers, falling for shitcoin bags, and never sleeping in a 24/7 market. It's not all moon missions.

>sold all my stocks and went all in btc at $2k.
>sold it at an average of $17k after seeing it get hyped
Took it all back to the stock market, where I’m resuming my original strategies and making a bit off blockchain meme stocks. Tbh it’s more convenient to get exposure to crypto on major (NYSE, NASDAQ) exchanges than to buy crypto directly.
If coins got cheap again I would consider it. But at this point, mission was successful.

This market got inundated with clueless people who blindly bought without consideration (or knowledge) of basic economic principles.

It’s not for anybody. It’s a learned skill.
>i’m just bad at math
Is an example of something I hear often. Truly nobody is, aside from prodigies, the rest learn it. The difference between a good & bad trader is their knowledge and how they apply it.
>>5583532
>hold btc
>sell it at 19k where everyone knows it’s going to reverse
>buy it later for cheap
Why not do it. You can either lose 20% or make 20%.
I wonder if people refuse to sell because of fears of being a “nocoiner” moreso than fear of missing out.

Was a /nocoiner/ 1.5 months ago

I want to be a /nocoiner/ again. At least with shitty ETFS and Mutual Funds I could sleep easier. I was about to pull plug at 20k but I didn't.

Bought BTC at 7k, bought again at 16k
Bought ETH, XMR and LTC, made a bit, holding everything.

70% BTC
10% each everything else.
I'm not very deep into my actual net total though.
I really like this anons >>5583327 strategy.

I learned by playing with mutual funds. And generally just absorbing as much info as possible about the markets. This was a lot of reading, but also a big part is merely being involved. Participating. Checking prices of stocks & indices every day, which is easy, and over time accumulates information. Gives a better grasp of certain patterns and behavior, and how traders react to the markets. Browsing forums is not good study though. A challenge for new traders should be to trade without consulting others. Only technical and fundamental data.

How do you play with mutual funds? I literally just hand my bank money and they do "stuff" with it and I pay fees for them to do it. I only pick what market percentages I want (US/CAN/International).

I've opened up a trading account and need $1000 initial deposit, setting that up is my first goal of the year. I actually came to /biz/ to learn about it because I remembered some threads for Robin Hood and stuff that used to be here and got sucked into crypto.

>technical and fundamental data.
This is hard, it's all so convoluted. I was thinking blue chip would be good to learn on.
