I didn't use promotions ever for years. I figured sales would slow down with a lot of normies being financially obliterated so I started on them. Usually like 3.5-5% eBay recommends some funny numbers with their algorithms. It's like 50% of my fucking sales now. Basically just another permanent fee increase. eBay has been fine, but their fees are bordering on outrageous and you get a lot of shitty “Karen” buyers wanting 18 pictures of the cellophane corners of a $29 Zelda game. I don’t think I’d have the patience to make a living doing this, that’s for sure.

That's from testing websites and stuff across the month, and usually about one 1 on 1 interview in there as well. Each one pays $10, then the interviews are $30 for 30 minutes and $60 for 60 minutes, but they're usually even shorter than that.

I shut my store down. You'd have to sell so many items a day and have an inventory of at least 5k items for sale to quit your day job. Listing and finding the right price is very time consuming. You can't rely on ebay's bot pricing or recommended promo percentages. Then you're packing, shipping shit which also takes time. Next thing you know, half your day is already spent plus you're open 24/7 so you have to constantly answer questions, deal with returns, prep for shipping, even when you're just trying to chill. I've heard youtubers hiring help but they ended up laying people off because nobody is going to list shit for you for $8/hr all day anymore lol

Definitely a recession. People dont have the spare funds to buy video games from me like before. Combined with summer slowdown and its dead.

God news is this is flushing out all the retards who thought it was easy money. I’ve noticed a rapid race to the bottom on so many niches. People desperately trying to unload and never look back. Gonna suck up the marketshare for some of my items once it picks up

Are you using a mass API lister to list from Amazon to Ebay? You can likely get tools that speed up the process and avoid their flags.

I'm interested in how this works though getting arbitrage from Amazon to Ebay sounds hilarious and hard to understand how there is even a profit available to be made.

Yeah it's called AutoDS. It's a bit janky and i've had to get support to unfuck it a few times but it still saves me plenty of time.
I try to profit about $7 an item. The thinking is that you find 7 or 8 items that sell once a day and you're making a considerable profit, but then other people find those items and dropship them too.

Ill check it out thanks. There are other services you can add on top as well like automated daily item repricing to stay competitive.

How many items did you have listed to get to $10,000 sales and 2,000 profit? How long did it take as well?

How are you deciding on what to buy exactly? What tools do you use to identify the arbitrage?

The idea of having Amazon do the heavy lifting and all I have to do is do research, list items, and deal with customers sounds awesome.

I have about 300 items listed. I'd have more but the last 4 months i've put pretty much all my time and effort into airdrop farming. Try to list up at least 5 a day. I've been doing this since November last year.
>How are you deciding on what to buy exactly? What tools do you use to identify the arbitrage?
Find other dropshippers on eBay by finding ones with >1000 reviews and see what's selling for them. If you can find one that has 10+ sales and its listed on Amazon for cheaper, that's a dropshipper. Then you copy that item at a slightly lower price or find a similar item. I don't use any tools to identify the arbitrage, it's simply a matter of what it's listed for on Amazon versus what competitors on eBay are listing it at.
>So what is flagging you then if you are using a non API lister? AutoDS looks insanely helpful
They haven't told me specifically what's violating their terms of service so it's hard to say.

>They haven't told me specifically what's violating their terms of service so it's hard to say.

Do they allude to drop shipping at all or they give pretty much nothing? Also you probably already do this but if you don't you should apply for the Amazon credit card that gives 5% cash back on your Amazon purchases. You can just rotate cards once your rewards are capped but you could probably net another 3-5% annually just from that.

You could also hypothetically buy Amazon gift cards at discount in bulk to buy your inventory. I think its another 2-3% on the gift card discounts if you buy $500 worth.

Credit cards sometimes stack with gift cards as well.

That's what they said but they didn't say what items didn't follow the policy. I'd gotten away with using Amazon tracking numbers for a long time but I imagine that's what it is. I'll have to start using Track Taco to obfuscate them.
The Amazon card isn't offered here in Australia otherwise i'd 100% be on it.
If it's a cash flow thing you're worried about you can use Zip directly through Amazon, or what I do is do Afterpay with Amazon gift cards, that way I only pay a quarter of the amount of the item upfront and when I get the money for the sale 2 or 3 days later I use it to pay off the card and pocket the rest.

When I worked at university IT a few years ago in college I would take the CPU's out of old PC's we managed that were being decommissioned and taken to surplus for wholesale auctions and would sell them on ebay and buy ETH. This was back in 2019, mostly I7 4790s, got like $200 - $250 each. Even grabbed a Radeon video card that I knew had been unaccounted for and sold for $400 in the GPU crisis.
