- Bitcoin: $30000 per coin and a total supply of 20.000.000 coins
This means you do 30000*20000000 = a market cap of ~$600.000.000.000

- XRP right now: $0.50 per coin and a total supply of 50.000.000.000 coins
This means you do 0.50x50000000000 = a market cap of ~$25.000.000.000

Please note: XRP still holds half of the supply. So it's actually not a 50b supply but a 100b supply!

Now if you say XRP will go to $1000 per coin, this would be an increase of 2000x in value.

So how high would bitcoin need to be for this?

We've just established the bitcoin market cap is $600.000.000.000. Now you do that x2000 and you get a market cap of $1.200.000.000.000.000

I don't even know how much that is, because it is too much. Now you do the price of 1 bitcoin x 2000 which currently is:

2000*30000= $60.000.000 PER BITCOIN

Now you maybe have an idea how absurd all these XRP price predictions are you find in threads like this or on youtube.

>> No.55815508

You are making assumptions that Bitcoin has to go up because XRP will go up but that is not correct.

The price of bitcoin has nothing to do with the price of XRP when its utility kicks in.

Marketcap of XRP and Bitcoin have no relation to each other whatsoever.

The markets that Bitcoin and XRP are going after are not the same at all. Bitcoin is a store of value and so far only a couple trillion dollars have been stored in bitcoin. But XRP is going after the cross border market and the 27 trillion dollars that is in the nostro vostro accounts that Swift uses to settle payments.

That 27 trillion is the money that XRP can capture and bitcoin is not going to get any of it because bitcoin is too slow, the fees are too high and it uses too much energy.

Bitcoin is in no way competition for XRP.

Cross border is not all the money, derivatives is.

Cross border only has 27 trillion market compared to the 2 quadrillion+ derivative market.

Even if XRP only captured 10% of the Derivative market it would still put it over 1k per coin.

But we are not going for derivatives first, we are going for crossborder and if we got the 27 trillion we would be at almost 600 bucks.

Yes that is how marketcap is calculated. It's only a remotely useful metric on stuff that is actually liquid, if you try to run a scam that like that it's meaningless because you won't be able to find an idiot to dump the rest on without crashing the price.

I'm kind of liking the collab with the root network crew, making XRP the default gas fees in the ecosystem.
It's like a whole new realm of possibilities for both communities.
