I work in a office as a low level wagie, just got my first job. There's only about a few hours of work to do a day, but we have to physically stay in there for a total of 8 hours a day, if you aren't there for 8 hours you can go to prison for time fraud. Every second is tracked.
It is sending a few emails, a meeting or two, checking some stuff and that is it. That is supposed to fill 8 hours of your day, but it takes like 1-2 hours at most.

The rest is spent in an open office environment where everyone can see your screen. Most people just pretend to look busy and have an excel sheet open on one screen, pretend to read through emails, and read the same yahoo news article 10 times.

How do people live like this? are they even conscious? they spend 6 hours a day pretending to be busy while not talking to anyone and just being there I guess.
