I’ve tried a variety of chains, including optimism and arbitrum, and I’m still drawn to ICP. I’ve given avax a go from the shilling here, but the three chains and accidentally blackholing transactions to the wrong chain, is a butthole puckering experience that I dont like.
Its wild to me that in the current year, people still use ethereum.
Even with the rollups and l2’s, its still an expensive shitty affair with arbitrary txn costs and slow speeds/txn failures.

As such, a chain like ICP that is piss easy to use, will grow rapidly.
If i remember right, our goal is to onboard tradfi and average investors? If so, I believe ICP will be that bridge.
I can already use apple face ID to access my wallets, Transactions cost nothing, they’re instantaneous, and when using ICP based apps I dont have to pay gas fees or whatever that eth uses.

Fair enough. In my previous post I was alluding to the "immutability" of smart contracts that exist on ETH, which is why it uses a gas model. Smart contracts on ETH exist forever onchain and can always be exercised by users if they spend the gas money. ICP canisters/smart contracts are not immutable and only exist as long as the deployer pays the cycles to maintain it, which is the reverse gas model. Therefore ETH is the proper domain for smart contracts that you want to be sure will never disappear in the future, and ICP is preferable for everything else. ETH and ICP are complementary and will coexist, likely ETH dapps will be wrapped by ICP canisters. Your welcome.
