Anyone else DCA and HODL for years only to lose your mind and start playing with leverage and lose it all? or am I the only one retarded enough to do such a thing?

>> No.55769726

If you get an urge to trade just use like 1% of your stack. And quit if you start failing

Yeah but when I moved over the Bitcoin to the Futures account and saw how much I could leverage with 100X it was hard not to use my entire stack because using my entire stack meant I could pretty much double my stack that I had spent years growing, with just the price going up a few %

For some reason I blocked it out of my head that if it just went down a few % that I'd lose everything I had built up over years.

I use 10% of my total portfolio to leverage trade.

Years ago I got wiped out for 6 figures on bitmex so I can't sleep at night without proper risk management

Yeah well my excuse is my 90 year old grandfather who has money and a multi-million dollar beach was forced to move into a medical care facility because he requires 24/7 access to medical equipment, doctors and nurses, and it hit me that why am I DCAing and waiting for my stack to "make it" only for me to end up an old man by the time the Bitcoin I had would be worth "fuck you" money, I wanted to make it now, when I am young and able to enjoy it.

So when that happened, suddenly all my risk tolerance went away, and I just went all in, going for it to try get years worth of additional DCAing done in a single trade.

I sympathize, anon, because my enfeebled grandpa has left me with a $250,000 reverse mortgage to pay off or else we’ll lose the last home my family owns. I’ve gone 99% invested into a total shitcoin that’s soft-rugging and has only a tenuous chance of ever taking off. However, I only invest in ETH shitcoins, I would never leverage trade, so in a way you are dumber than me. Good luck though.

Kek. Would take index trading over this. Creating indices on AstraDAO is based. Not rocket science anon. Gotta do the needful.

I have only traded a percentage of my stack when the market is clearly crabbing. Once a stop loss order triggers, that is when I stop. As far as profits from trading goes? I am in the green.

Before my wallet got hacked, I also bought some garbage coins, and they almost went to zero. Those funds could have been used to get a better house for my mom and me :(

Please trade leverage on the exchange owned by your fellow /biz/raelis instead of giving it to:

- niggers (bitmex)
- chinks (binance)
- jews (formerly FTX)

Use gains.trade

>using leverage
not my thing, sorry. I'd just rather play it safe and wait for the long term like supplying USDT to curve on Kava's LPs instead.

I'd supply USDC instead but I guess they don't support it natively?

What are they waiting for?
