Everyone you went to school with already have bought houses with 2% interest rates. Meanwhile you've been priced out and will never see rates that low in your lifetime. Maybe in 5 years when houses are worth 250k more each you'll see sub 7% again. You missed it

Eh, even if you hit the jackpot once (and even then you probably have to do some sick degenerate shit to get peoples attention on there) the results aren't consistent, the top 5% only make 26k a year. Although realistically most of those ewhores use it as a supplementary income to their real jobs but there's also the social cost it takes, can't get those nude pics of you with your vibrator collection off the internet when you have kids.

I’d rather live in a pod in a nice area and invest in stocks. If I see property without a lot of recurring fees at a great deal I would buy, but it almost seems like another job to get a house. I also think housing will get more affordable in the future as like 50% of the population will see it as a political issue, also mass manufacturing of homes is starting to be a thing again. I know people that have worked in the industry and they say their will always be a boom/bust cycle of building, and that they’ve been waiting for houses to reach peak value before beginning mass manufacturing again. However, prices will still probably go slightly up over the course of the next decade, but as well median income will also raise in most places. Except for you reading this. You’re a neet.

Urban populations have simply quadrupled since our infrastructure has been built.

Its mostly just basic supply and demand. The best solution is to incentivize people to go into trades in a massive scale and provide solid pay and advancement for those roles. There opportunities are out there with hundreds of thousands of positions, they just need competent people to fill those positions and solve this problem. Too many people have gotten into "soft" careers that lean into the digital realm rather than the physical realm and its time for the market to reflect that. Unfortunately housing is expensive because it is in demand, and that probably wont change for at least a few years until we have another explosive infrastructure boom like we did in the 40's,50's and mid 60's. Until then, get used to overpaying for small condos in big cities, or getting lucky and buying a decent house out of town. Learn to accept living outside of the Big City™.
