Now once I attained the necessary knowledge to get wealthy off stocks it behaves unlike all the other times before it. WHY!!!! I WAS SO CLOSE TO RICHES! All the others I assume had easy reasons to see why it flipped from dump to pump but this one, they just denied it through and through. Wouldnt surprise me if they admit it was a recession. Scary curve, big number, but it always seems like the downfall. It's always this way because we're fucking ants compared to the reality of the US and the future. We have a hard time putting things into proper perspective.
How to rectify this? Compare things from earlier times. For example, take the national debt over time and divide by the market capitalization of the largest US company. This is just one idea but there's much more to be researched and considered.

Many mega caps are largely operating using ZIRP loans so they couldn't give two craps about Powell... oversimplification of course but there is some truth to it.
Powell is gonna have to be real careful next year. Cut too soon and too fast and inflation might run rampant again (as if it ever stopped but that's another issue)... he can't raise too much since we see normos don't give a crap about rates and will simply work more to pay off their loans and keep consooming.
Then again we will see in a few months when a lot of people are gonna be forced to start paying back their loans. Won't affect boomers though, only millenials (and who cares about them?)

Sorry, my gym rush is still on and I just saw what the fegg I wrote. I meant to wrote that he clearly can keep on hiking since the economy is very much resilient and doesn't affect the bottom line of most people and mega caps. Mids caps and smaller are getting real screwed over though and we can already see the number of bankruptcies increasing.
Mid caps and smaller can't keep hiking prices forever to deal with the rates (but they can try as long as there is high core inflation + low PPI).

However, since the index is mainly carried by mega caps, boboids trying to short the index will most likely get btfo.
The US industry pertaining to semis and tech is poised to take the world by storm next year... I don't know man. If I was a shorter, I would collect my gainz as soon as possible and not hope for some magical -20% drop

Mega caps and large cap will benefit because competition is weeded out. Mid/small caps are getting btfo and gonna get absorbed by mega caps. Everything needs to be "oligopolized", that's the idea.
Then again who the hell knows?
Service inflation extremely sticky, we also have wage increases "driving down profits", very low PPI, people getting greedier each year. Three years of FUD (starting from Covid) and consoomerism hasn't abated at all (just look at Apple's sales).
This whole inflation situation is just so weird. It has allowed tradies to charge insane prices yet people are complaining about low wages? Every schmuck seems to make good money nowadays, yet people are complaining about not being able make it to the end of the month and being forced to live on credit...
Here in Evropoor, literally nobody gives a single crap about inflation. We have 8% core inflation even with rate hikes and people are satisfied with their piss poor wages. I am so sick of normies and central banks

Hmm seems the trend now and is gaining momentum as the years go on is older people divorcing and living alone. Which begs the question; Ok your single, your old, what happens when your at the point you can't take care of yourself or your house/apt anymore? Hello "retirement village living" (aka nursing home cause you can't call them that anymore even though that's what they are). So these things along with pharmacies should be exploding in profit as the decades roll on.

I'm pretty sure that's exactly one of the technical requirements they are trying to uphold before declaring one, but it's also looking possible for a sudden shift that renders it undeniable at some point even before then. I question nursing homes as businesses. The main source of wealth an old person has typically is their house. And that is likely only going to get sold for a couple hundred thousand dollars. So now you are talking about taking that lump sum and trying to turn it into an annuity to cover having unironic medical professionals (albeit bottom of the barrel ones) wipe your ass. And you could still live decades in spite of not being able to take care of yourself. I get the feeling retirement homes have a lot of problems with their margins. Because old people might have enough money to feed themselves for the rest of their life, but they probably don't really have enough money for someone else to feed them for the rest of their life.

I think the bigger issue is the supression of wages for the poor which causes the currency to stagnate in wealthy hands not doing anything and paying for all intents and purposes no taxes. The only way around that issue where wealth accumulates in the hands of the wealth IS inflation but also WAGE INFLATION. Or just aggressively tax the wealthy but thats not possible due to all the various tax avoidant structures.

That's about it, it's a very volatile instrument so it gives lots of fairly wide dip/rip swings to accumulate/sell, what with not only the nature of natgas prices in and of themselves, but 2x leverage on top. If you know where it's at within its ranges it's an *excellent* relatively short term swing, but if you jump in blind with that expectation then you can also get deep and hard fucked pretty quick. I always suggest starting a small position and watching it to build on dips, then sell on whatever rip you want, but I'm building mine with an exit target of Oct/Nov when it's on the Jan futures contract, which is the peak prices for the cycle, assuming nothing shocks it.

>BUT
BUT
I also don't ever want to be without holding at least some, because speaking of shocks, shit can happen to where even a small amount becomes worth substantial money. NOT LIKELY, but absolutely fucking possible.

Well it depends on your salary obviously, but 5k is a pretty typical cost for a minor hobby.

BOIL doesn't even work like that. You buying on top of me will not do me any favor whatsoever. BOIL tracks natgas futures prices at 2x leverage, simple as. And I'm not "holding bags" anyway, my positions in 2 accounts are both green.

Anon if you just look for people’s advice without the ability to discern the risk and opportunity of the investment just buy ETFs. Every investment opportunity that isn’t literally brand new has bag holders. You’re always buying someone’s bags. You could buy someone’s bags and still end up making more money than them.

No I went to a different state entirely
It wasn't entirely business, but there was some of that. I just didn't have any time to post on /smg/ while I was away. I followed the markets on my phone when I can... and yeah it was bad

>You can never be certain that someone is actually dropping some useful info and insight, or just shilling their shit bags.
You should be 100% confident that any serious financial opinion you read anywhere was written by someone talking their own book.
The beauty of this place is that we intentionally toss in some absolute dogshit once in a while to weed out the retards. If you're incapable of learning to distinguish, its best you leave quickly.

Hey man, your reputation here isn't predicated on how much money you've made/lost, and in fact losing money tends to be reputation positive if you do it with a little flair. I for one just appreciate the personality flavor dynamic that you add to the soup here. You're one of the essential people that make this place a "place" for someone like me to come along and newly discover and appreciate the culture of. You're one of interesting characters around the little town on the show, like at Walnut Grove.

It's how BOIL works. The market makers are on the other side of the trades. Again, BOIL tracks 1:1 with natgas prices at 2x leverage and that's just the way it is, niggertard.
