Is there actually a difference? I just bounce ETH between the two to run up transaction numbers for airdrops

Stupid question, but what are the downsides to L2s? I used OP yesterday and the fee reduction is amazing but I'm guessing that there is a tradeoff somewhere. Is it not as secure as ETH L1?

I think both will be big in the next bull run

Op has other l2 networks running on it which will be big.

ARB has the dev numbers

I'll probably go 50:50

Supply is not good on both but we are checking out in 2025

OP is clearly the winner here. Sam Altman used it for Worldcoin. And I have a shit ton of SONNE so I need it to moon.

I think Arbitrum is still the L2 OG and projects tend to build on it before considering Optimistm. I recently started stables on the network instead of Ethereum as soon as SpoolFi was included and it is quite convenient.

OP for me - fees are like 0.05$ while i pay 0.50$ an ARB

I think OP won once Coinbase decided to build its L2 on the OP stack. Other companies will follow them imo, and the Devs will follow the liquidity. Every L2 built on OP will eventually be so tightly integrated it will be like one single chain.

l2s are for poor people who want to use crypto, not rich people who want to use fiat

Worldcoin is also build on OP. The rally of SONNE is a matter of time.
