give her the benefit of the doubt and let her run through 3 tries first. Pearson has statistics on how the more times you fail a test, the less likely you are to pass subsequent tries. The numbers for my PE exam were extremely depressing. Like if you failed twice you might ass well crawl up your own ass instead of hoping to get your stamp. If she goes nurse route, odds are she is going to wind up working in a nursing home, and get paid complete shit for it. Nursing homes are the nurse dumpsters.

Am medfag. You're literally never going to see her until she finishes residency and the relationship will probably fail. If you do get married then you're looking at six figures of debt that you can't declare bankruptcy on. I'd unironically go the PA route as she already has her pre med degree which covers the prerequisites. CRNA is nice too but she'd need the RN degree first. Perfusionist is a cool job too.

Thats very interesting, but:

Let's see what happens when you apply basic math to the holocaust...

Jews now claim 900,000 jews were gassed AND cremated at Treblinka 2... down from the multi-million claim of the Nuremberg Trial.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treblinka_extermination_camp#Death_count

Treblinka was open from July 23, 1942, to October 19, 1943.

That's 453 days... that's 10,872 hours.

900,000/453 = 2,000 jews were gassed AND cremated PER DAY if it was magically running 24 hours a day 7 days a week while Germany was fighting for it's life in a 3-front world war.

4,000 gassings AND cremations if running 12 hours a day, 7 days a week.

It takes 2-3 hours to cremate a body with ultra-modern crematoriums.

https://www.acremation.com/frequently-asked-questions/#long

2.5 hours X 900,000 = 2,250,000 hours

A body leaves behind around 7 pounds of ash, the size of a shoe box.

900,000 x 7 pounds = 6,300,000 pounds or 3,150 tons

http://sturmfh.com/34/Cremation-Services.html

Roughly the size and weight of 40 Blue Whales

All buried in this tiny corner of the 33 ACRE CAMP.

28,800,000 teeth.

243,000,000 bones to leave ash and fragments.

Never to be found again.

For reference, New York's central Park is 843 acres. The Mall of America is 67 acres.

was thinking the same, already had a small amount of the tesla one, the ark one and the apple one. only like one share in each. this week just dipped into the nvidia one, the amazon one and the google one. realized there was a facebook one so I jumped in there as well.
I dont think there is a better publically traded comapny than google. evil as shit though. for real these guys are some soulless fucks. but I think they are the safest long term bet my life that one company is going to be higher 10 years from now, I would bet on them.

have a very small amount 1-2 shares in the ther ones. I am making money hands over fist selling options on BYND right now and I'm looking to diversify out. will probably put by far the most of that cash into GOOY , after that I'm not sure which I would trust my money in. the apple one might not give me the Yeild I wat Nvidia may be priced too high. I think maybe the oark one, drip half of the dividends rom all of them back into the GOOY one.
also had a temptation to drip the dividneds into something like qyld and move the qyld into the funds if there is a big dip. because these funds could get fucked on big drips.

for the love of god someone give me a (you) for typing this out

Insane debt generation/accumulation, high interest due to rates, global economic downturn, risky prospect due to lower SPR but OIL climbing again, so another SPR release will only postpone everything. There are no highs without lows, the US is a ponzi and its market shows. EU market is bogged too and too highly linked with the US, but at least you can sometimes comfortably buy, as you see it go down and up. US is a stairway to heaven.

This might not play out. In 2011 when S&P downgraded US debt by the same drop as Fitch has today it led to a sell off in riskier assets (stocks, corporate bonds, etc) and a subsequent rotation right into the US govt treasuries that had been effectively downgraded by S&P. Domestic Japanese assets, especially their sovereign bonds (more attractive now that BOJ is signaling they'll allow the Japanese 10 year to hit a +1% yield, double their previous cap of 0.5%), possibly stocks and corporate debt as well

Japanese only own $1.1 trillion worth of US treasuries, they won't repatriate all of that. Deutsche Bank estimates a worst case scenario of $600 bln being repatriated. Now they might repatriate some of their ownership of US stocks ($1.4 trillion or so), but even if they repatriate all of that ownership that's only 2.8% of the $49.8 bln total public market cap of US-listed companies.

>>55728243
Fed rate doesn't have much importance here because the benchmark "risk free" yield was/is still the 10 year yield. That was about 3% in 2011 vs 4% now. Gut reaction for institutions is always to degenerately load up on Treasuries when anything breaks, even if it's the Treasury market itself. Treasuries aren't broken and I don't think the downgrade is significant in the short-term, but the note from Fitch does raise good points on long-term concerns for the US

IG and CMC. You get interest for shorting US and EU. This interest depends on the ESTR(EU) which will increase today again.

I calculated it by looking at how much a position costs and how much I get for holding overnight.

A 0,5 Euro per pip DAX short for example might cost me 300 Euro. I get 0,22 Euro per night. I then put that in an interest calculator and it tells me it's like getting 20-30% interest, depending on how hard I leverage. You can even open positions for 50 Euro but risk of losing is a lot higher cause that's only a 100 pip barrier.

For CFD, I currently get 0,10 for 0,5 pip short. Margin is about 400 Euro. So put that into rate calculator and you get around 8% currently. With the hike today it will increase to 14% I think. Preemptively calculated on expectation, because the steps/increases were always the same in the last month, because the rate hikes were always 25 bps.

According to VIX, yes. And the weather ain't fuckin helping, perpetually raining and no sun... Still, I don't think we're gonna go down more than 5% on the index. Stocks have had a great year financially and most are raising their guidance (like BMW for example). It also looks like we are nearing the bottom of industry PMI and the market is forward looking r-r-r-r-right, haha?
People are soon gonna re-finance their loans/mortgages but who cares about that? Not likely to affect major investors.
People are also soon returning from vacation so electricity prices should be going back up soon enough. Hmmm, gonna be interesting. Plus, US student loans repayment soon (then again who knows with fuckin Biden).
Still, all that is the economy which is often de-coupled from the stock market

>The 2011 S&P downgrade was the first time the US federal government was given a rating below AAA. S&P had announced a negative outlook on the AAA rating in April 2011. The downgrade to AA+ occurred four days after the 112th United States Congress voted to raise the debt ceiling of the federal government by means of the Budget Control Act of 2011 on August 2, 2011. Later, the US Government commenced an investigation into S&P's role in the rating of several mortgage-backed securities which played a role in the 2008 financial crisis. In order to mend its relationship with the US government, S&P asked its then-CEO to step down, a mere 18 days after the US was downgraded. S&P announced on August 23, 2011, that Deven Sharma would step down as a Chief of Standard & Poor's effective September 12, 2011, and would leave the company by end of the year.
>Both Fitch Ratings and Moody's, designated like S&P as nationally recognized statistical rating organizations (NRSRO) by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), retained the U.S.'s triple-A rating. Moody's, however, changed its outlook to negative on June 2, 2011, and Fitch changed its outlook to negative on November 28, 2011

>> No.55729363

>>55729356
>Global stock markets declined on August 8, 2011, following the announcement. All three major U.S. stock indexes declined between five and seven percent in one day. However, U.S. treasury bonds, which had been the subject of the downgrade, actually rose in price and the dollar gained in value against the Euro and the British pound, indicating a general flight to safe assets amid concerns about a European debt crisis.[30]
>However, based on historical information from Bloomberg, the cost to insure U.S. debts against default had risen from an average of around 25 basis points in 2007 to a range from 55 to 75 basis points in 2011.[citation needed] A higher cost of insurance is typically associated with increased risk of default.

I am tilted. I mean I could have taken profits, about 500 Eur. But I would have needed to close all my positions that were green. The problem is in early june I closed most position at 15900 right on the day the DAX crashed. I made 300 Euro instead of maybe 2k? And this made me rethink my strategy. I still have position in red, because after the dump to 15450, who would have thought it would just repump to 16k in a week and then to 16,5k? It really is schizo, it's worse than the US.

My fault thinking it wouldn't retrace back over the 4hourly Bollingerbands. Should have known. I wanted to trade with the daily/weekly/monthly and forget about 4hourly, but they still managed to make me mad this fuckin algoshitfest.

Right but this is /smg/ and we’re talking about stocks and their derivatives not currency markets that shit doesn’t really matter for the thread other than their impact on stocks. I keep seeing EU traders freak out over and over in these threads and my reaction is just nigga rly.

Not everyone is US. I'm EU, thus I trade EU. I tried trading US and got heemed hard. Not gonna do it again. I'm actually an oiltrader, but thanks to the fuckin price cap I stopped. Should have stick with it. Would have been such an easy trade, just following the indicators. And in no way or form as schizo as the stock market. After I'm done shorting, no matter if lose or win, I'll go back to commodities. Fuckin stocks is the most irrational and from reality detached bullshit, second to crypto.

Your problem, cause it's unreasonable. EU stocks are stocks. Want no EU people here? Should ban them. Nobody is talking about FX, so no clue what you're talking about

>stocks is the most irrational and from reality detached bullshit, second to crypto.
It is but the key word is second, there’s still an attachment to reality. It’s hard enough to profit as a trader idk how you could do it trading during hours that the businesses you’re trading aren’t even open. It’s like trying to win a marathon the other racers already got an hour long head start in. I guess you could do it if you’re very good or if everybody else fucks up but it’s going to be far from the easiest race to win.

yes the problem is there almost a stock market in every eu country with their own index.
like if american markets were 20 exhanges with 20 different indexes and slightly different rules everywhere. also different fees for every exhange
