I spent yet another hour arguing with ebay support to get my tax refund.
Finally after an initial rejection, and much arguing, they agreed to forward it to the local ebay department in my country.
Why I couldn't just be talking with them immediately is retarded, first the rep sent me a link about UK taxes. I think they just want people to give up when a mistake is made so that they can pocket the money because who would keep arguing after getting a firm "no refunds" twice? Me, that's who. $40 is $40.
