Big tech is dragging up the indices by burning their cash reserves and doing stock buybacks. They won't/can't do this for years with high interest rates, the FED plays along with this and avoids mentioning recession but at the same time they will not drop rates for a long time until peoples budget problems pushes them into renting. 2017 was front running from tech companies cause advertising revenues were hitting peaks and falling off, tech companies loved trump cause it brought people back into the tech space when it was dwindling by obama's second term, see twitter. Crypto was just a liquidity pool to drain around 2018 and that bought time. "AI" is just a desperate measure for more liquidity to keep the stock buyback con going. If the vision pro doesn't beat revenue estimates the effects will cause the stock buy backing scheme to slow down and then the crash starts but QE will not turn on as fast cause CRE which is a bank income source is crashing now when things are "up". All of tech industry is top down from apple's performance just like in 2007/2008. There will not be as much easy money to prop tech stocks back up if they crash this time around. It will start slow slow down crab then the bottom will fall out within 3 years. Look at CRE lease laws look at capex of big companies. Its all lining up to fall.

Try buying the stocks after their post-earnings crash and wait for the recovery. If it's a decent company they're basically guaranteed to eventually recover, so the worst that can realistically happen is you miss out on a better opportunity because your cash is tied up. I bought SNAP at $10.11 last week, it's now $11.35 so I've made over $1k in a week. You could potentially make more with leverage but I don't use leverage or go short, I lost too much money that way.

> What Is Doctor Copper?

The term Doctor Copper is market lingo for this base metal that is reputed to have a "Ph.D. in economics" because of its ability to predict turning points in the global economy. Because of copper's widespread applications in most sectors of the economy—from homes and factories to electronics and power generation and transmission—demand for copper is often viewed as a reliable leading indicator of economic health. This demand is reflected in the market price of copper.

I suppose theoretically if you were able to catch a good price then that *should* work, but I wouldn't recommend doing it without keeping a close eye on the whole situation. It is, after all, the only trade known as
THA WIDOWMAKER
and it just a bit too wild for me to think that's a good idea, again, unless you can get it at a breddy dang good price. A few $ under 60 seems reasonably safe to me. I tend to be breddy conservative with this shit, but to be wide open honest, EVEN THOUGH I CONSIDER THIS TO BE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS, I suspect you could indeed get it for just about anything under $65 and be able to sell it for a decent profit sometime in Oct, even with contract roll and volatility decay considered. There's a lot of DANGER too with the potential for hurricanes knocking it down suddenly so keep that in mind. On the one hand, the damage to production facilities would be bullish, but the widespread power outages would be bearish. I really just will not recommend that, but truthfully think it *should* probably work though. If you do it and get royally fucked, do not forget that I gave lots of warning. That being said, at present I am essentially doing exactly that if you only look at my BOIL all by itself without the side swings.

I should add, I THINK there will be better buying opportunities coming up, but one of the reasons I do not recommend just doing a one time lump buy is that I think it best to buy *some* at a breddy gud price so as to not miss out on if the whole thing moves the floor up some, but adding to it when it winds up proving to still have a little basement travel left in it to get the average down as much as possible.

My apartment has definitely been in worse shape but Jesus I think he could tell I was visibly nervous. I hate when people make this excuse so much.
There is always a reason. There is always a buyer who is driving the action, and there is a reason why that buyer drove the action. 99.999% of the time, it is due to a headline. If you watch enough 1 minute charts, for years and years, you can see when there is irregular activity, where there's a "reason" behind the move - where you can tell just by looking at the chart that some news broke

That was a bummer to me as well, VH was pretty much the only of the 80s rock bands (yes, I know they started in the 70s) that really kept my love much farther into life. When 1984 first came out, so did CDs, and I had a much older cousin who worked at a high end musical instrument store in a larger city. They had a soundproof stereo demo room with the most incredible system pretty much possible. At that time only a relative few things were available in the new CD format, and they were about $30 each. He took me and my mother in that room, closed the door and put this on:

It's fine but you're leaving money on the table and I think it's overdiversification. It has lower volatility but lower upside. VOO is up around 60% over the past 5 years while VT is around 30%. The US is still the world's economic leader. And our retirement system adds constant cashflow into the major indexes.

Could be if AI actually adds that much value. Right now everyones speculating it will. Nvdia is already making a ton off it and now companies like microsoft are offering services for costs. Couple of quarters and people will find out how much money there is for this stuff and prices will reflect that.
