Making $18/hr would take you 13888 hrs of your life to repay the $250k debt.

It hurt but it is not the end of the world.

Btw I had meet doctor quitting their career, pharmacist quitting their career, engineer mass quitting their career too, they are working a lot more harder to get the career, but they are all happy to dump it completely, without any recourse, without any compensation too. That is too funny to me. Freedom is priceless to them!

Ironically, you might likely make it if that were the case, especially in trading, if your investment is in the right direction, or else end up owing more debt than ever. From the look of the market, now is a profitable time to invest.

>Making $18/hr would take you 13888 hrs of your life to repay the $250k debt
That's like 579 days to work with the hope of paying the debt, which seems quite impossible because the cost of living is excluded along with tax, rent, and daily expenditure. This will most likely take 5 years to pay off. This is part of the reason many consider trading as an alternative source to make passive income.

This is absolutely slavery, huh

is it worth going back to school for an engineering masters?
I've been working for 6 years and going back to school sounds enjoyable and like a good distraction to let my bags appreciate while I'm distracted. I think I could upgrade my future earnings in my field, too.
but I have no idea how I'm going to get 3 letters of recommendation minimum. I'm sure most all my professors forgot about me. and how can I ask my bosses at work? pretty sure they'd rather have me working and might even start shuffling me out the door.
I'm also pursuing the part-time degree meme but I don't really want to work and go to school at the same time.

I went into trades, spent ten years building vape and TMobile stores with a few groups, got my chips in the security field by moving there and doing low voltage in homes for about three years. Did televisions, server racks, lutron automation, garage doors, some commercial.
Move to a new state and make a move on a Forklift Technician job, score that for $25/hr. Master techs make around $40/hr. Field techs even more. Crown or Toyota certification yields more leverage.

I went to the same school op and for the same degree. I hate to be a boomer but you need to work on your reel/portfolio. Games or Film is incredibly hard to be employed in(as im sure you're aware), and it takes almost autistic dedication to remain in the field. My first five years in the video game industry was hell as an animator. I got laid off three times, had to pick up a few retail jobs. I never stopped working on my portolio though. I'm now making 170k at a well known video game company after being in the field for a decade. I dont know exactly what you went for but stop crying on this board and start working on the reel. Letters of Recommendation are such bullshit. Even the undergraduate entry for 1.5 out of the 3 colleges I'm looking at (one strictly requires it, another strongly recommends it, and the other made no comment about it) requires at least one letter of recommendation from high school teachers and counselors I haven't seen for many years. From my research, your goal is to ask basically everybody and hope you get lucky. If you don't score a single person, then bribe somebody I guess, because there's no shame in cheating a system that's fucking garbage in the first place.
