if i had 20k to spend on something i would buy 10 ounces of gold, but do know that if you spend 10k in a single day the IRS will get sad and demand to know why via a form 1099.
you can buy $9999 a day but dont come back the next day and buy, give it a couple of weeks.

why all in gold? because you can buy cheaper silver over time and not have to worry about gold again until you are satisfied with your silver, which i would recommend 350 ounces at least.

How does it concern us exactly? Those boomies aren't stacking anything. Not in your hands, not yours at all, shrimple as. Gold IRAs aren't better than any other digiscam or stocks. Probably the only true thing posted by this kiked garbage fire of a "newspaper" in a decade.

I'm no expert when it comes to gold IRAs, but isn't it a mistake to treat the price of this as static? I mean, the price of gold is always appreciating because fiat is always being debased, so eventually that gap closes. You're not supposed to make a profit from gold, you're just preserving your purchasing power by buying it. The only cost is someone storing for you. The only way you would make a profit is due to its demand increasing with more competing buyers, which is no different than any other stock on the market.

Mirrin my last acquisition frens : a masonigger silver token, from the "philanthropic society of Paris" (under the jurisdiction of the Grand Orient of France), 1781, founded just a year prior.
It is the oldest non-confessional philanthropic society, and it still exist to this day, at the same address. But it's much larger today.

The date is important for the masons, because it's when Cornwallis surrendered to the americano-french coallition during the revolutionary war, and when the illuminati started to gain in influence in masonic lodges (they recently hired Baron Von Knigge) and to plot to overthrow the monarchies of Europe. The philanthropic society counted few illuminati in their ranks.

Look at the verso : it's a hand holding a watering can, and just above you see the Zodiac. No way this is by chance, they probably were signaling freemasonry would help mankind to slowly transition from the age of Pisces (Christianity) to the age of Aquarius (zodiacal era = 2150 years).

No, but i almost won a pair of silver tokens from the casino of Monte-Carlo from the 80s not long ago. They were less expensive than i thought they would be. Like, sure you'll pay above spot, but it wasn't excessive, i don't remember exactly how much though, maybe x2 spot.
A good deal imho if you are interested in those things.

The shifting winds of the world seem to be sending us on an inevitable course towards real money once again. It's crazy to me how obvious all of this is, yet it seems normies don't even care. They don't notice the continued dedollariziation, or the end to Pax Americana. The implications of these phenomena run deep, and will be felt for the next century at the very least. We're living through a historical period that will be written about extensively in the future, which is rather exciting to imagine, but the daily slog still puts a bit of a damper on it.

This slow, deliberative style of processing comes with its fair share of downsides. We can’t always pick up on irony or “obvious” implied meanings people haven’t said explicitly. Allistic people often accuse us of overthinking things, or being too slow and hesitant to come up with a response. We also get overwhelmed when presented with mountains of data, which neurotypical people find much easier to just ignore.
Autistic people process the world from the bottom up.

There is a dude on ebay unloading 30 coins/medals/tokens of the rarest kind (R2/R3 everything, some so rares i've only found museums' cataloguing) at 1 bux starting price every single day for 2 weeks straight now.

I've no idea how did he came up with such a truly INSANE collection, though it's most likely a rich inheritancefag, since he/she don't even bother with descriptions or even fitting titles for said items. It's like they are trying to get the least money out of it : only 3 days auctions + shitty titles + no description + horrible hours + LQ pics.

Too bad, the word passed around or people simply nooticed, and now there are 90 boomies like fucking hawks on every soon-to-end auction, so getting great deals is getting rarer, but you still pay at least 50-60% less than anywhere else where similar items are availible.

Ok, then the conclusion i reached was Pd compared to Pt is :
>less liquid
>have less industrial applications
>less demand overall
>is more abundant ppm wise
>larger premiooms in average
>less potential future prospects (so far, it can change with scientific advancements ofc)
>have more mining spots & is found in more areas
>more volatile price wise due to traders' shenanigans rather than organic demand

The fact alone it's more abundant in the earth crust and yet more expensive than Pt alone should be a big no-no desu senpai. And even though i hate technical analysis, i'm forced to admit the Pd chart looks absolutely atrocious, it looks like any 2021 P&D shitcoin.

The main issue remaining the low liquidity, at least with G&S, you can sell them on any given day for spot minimum and profit from a spike if you want to.
With Pd it probably is a whole 'nother story. Back when it spiked north of 3.3K, the opportunity window lasted only 2 days, before going back down very brutality. I doubt you'd have been able to sell in such a short time frame.
But i understand the slurping appeal since the price have been slashed by almost a factor of 3 since then. If it goes back down to 3 digits territory it's probably a very safe bet to make.

Completely unrelated, but what do you frens think of old ivory items (pre-70s to dodge all the anti-selling laws).
I've seen an increasing amount of ivory items hitting the secondary market, due to boomers from the late colonial era -so up to the 60s- croaking en masse.
And most the WEF-simping heirs don't want to have anything to do with those so they either surrender them to the customs or sell them as fast as they can. Those brainwashed fucks consider anything made out of ivory as completely taboo and their white guilt seems to force them to get rid of it (completely ignoring the fact 95% of the animals massacres during the XXth c. were done by subsaharan locals).

So do you think the market will crumble down to zero, or could it face a revival?
Because i'm seeing few really tempting opportunies to acquire some.

Mhmmm, make sense fren.

Personally, it's the fact it was going for $190/oz in 2009. I've heard about the suppression on Pd and all... it can justify a x3-4 maybe, but not x15. Truth is there were no additional demand from a breakthought discovery, new applications or anything. Nor any extra investment-demand as far as i know.
So if no extra demand can justify it, to me it's just some P&D digitally-enhanced traders thing. Maybe it was to liquidate a large short position or something, idk. But i just don't trust it.

nah, I'll buy my squares and only keep 100 in the plastic cases. the other 900 are in cases from the mint. just been debating cutting down on the size of the plastic b/c it's obscene. they really should be assayed in something similar to the size of the lock-tite capsules with their tiny certificate

Aside from
>expanding the money supply to combat inflation
You know that you can just, make smaller coins if it gets too expensive? "Limited supply" is just a lie used to expand the money supply.

Initially I thought those coins were from the Roman or Byzantine era, which tells you about how much I know about identifying coins.

My initial guess would've been $100-$300. However given your info, and my experience in collectibles I'd say either $250-500 on the condition that's it's a relatively popular set to collect from a historically small or obscure nation/kingdom. However if instead it's a set of coins thats from a historical kingdom of the prior description, but with the clause that its not popular to collect at all, I'd put them around $50-$150.

Of course I have no idea how much silver there is in that picture so I could be way off just to start.

>>55687644
And, as it gets more expensive, the incentive to mine more increases causing the supply to ramp up. PM money has a built-in buffer on supply swings. Only really extraordinary events, like the pillaging of the New World or the discovery of a literal mountain of silver in Mexico cause serious swings in PM money.

Well yes, that is how economics at whole works. Prices stabilize themselves through natural free market feedback. If PM gets more expensive due to the demand curve shifting up, that will signal to miners that people want more until you return to some slightly offset version of the previous price instead of staying at a higher price.

However, centuries of government meddling with money has distorted market mechanisms that would otherwise work for money as well, due to the false pretense that money is an exception and should be manipulated at the whims of the government. The obvious result was that the past century was that of inflation, monetary warfare, sanctions, currency blocks, and obviously war.

What do people seriously expect from fiat? We are literally in a much worse position than before we switched. The biggest complains were at first that currencies of other countries circulated in each other. Oh the horrors, let's make the mint exclusive, that resulted in rampant debasement of most national coins in medieval Europe. Then they complained how the exchange rates for silver and gold fluctuated, oh the horrors! And so fixed rates were established. Due to Grahams laws that literally drove out the under-priced silver in most countries. Then they complained how banks were able to do literal fraud. So they legalized fraud with bank holidays and fractional reserves. Then they complained about gold leaving the country. So they made it difficult/illegal for civilians to own their gold. ETC Every. Single. Step. towards fiat was a travesty and no wonder this monetary turbulence and implementation of Keynesian policies coincided with not one, but two world wars.

Coins are weighting 1.5-2.5g each, the auction ended at 66€ (but sold as unidentified);
sadly i didn't win it as my max bid was 51€ (your low bid).

Just like you i don't know much, but the buyer did OK i think. Those coins are quite rare, but as you said the demand is limited too.

i'm in a gun club with old boomers and so many of them are trying to get rid of guns because their faggot kids want nothing to do with them. of course the old fucks would rather see their 100+ year old guns go into the incinerator than sell it for less than 10 times what they bought it for.
that said, i'm one of the few people under 40 who still wants ivory so there is a small market, but i imagine more ivory than buyers so you'll have to decide if you want to many big money once (or never) or little money a few times.

Yeah, it's a really sad state of affairs. As if the demographic suicide wasn't enough, now we are erasing our culture, freedom and history, all according to the (((plan))).
Decades of brainwashing created goylems imprisoned in their own mind, scared of everything. Especially critical thinking.

Concerning ivory, i was mirrin a seller with 7 items auctioned (tiny statuettes from Dieppe, 6-7cm high, late XVIII-early XIXth century) who ended just 2 hours ago.
They sold for between 15-20 bux. Which i found to be excessively cheap, even if tbf they were of low artistic value, but i didn't step in. I fear there is indeed way more ivory who will hit the market than buyers.

For the personal anecdote, my gramp just died last week, things haven't been settled yet, but he owned a bunch of ivory stuff he bring back from his holidays in Africa back in the 80s. This kind of ivory is illegal to sell because too recent, and i wont be surprised if i end up being the one pocketting them, because most my cousins have the mind virus too.
And i'm saying this for years, but if (((they))) managed to do it with ivory, the next target will be gold and silver, 100% sure. In the name of saving Gaya they will guilt trip people into hating stackers, go hard on taxes and eventually outlaw it.

Antique dealers' auctions i suppose. The ones i was mirrin' were on ebay, but to dodge the ivory keyword (which ebay ban and report you for), it was labelled as "statues made in organic matter" in the title lol.

Ivory is an incredible matter, so smooth and heavy, it's even better than PMs to fondle.

I'm thinking about starting a stack next year with some inheritance money that is coming. I have some really newbish questions I would appreciate help with. To be clear, I am just looking for a long term physical asset. Thanks in advance, I have a lot more questions but these are ones off the top of my head.

Does it matter what form of gold you buy? Like is there any different between getting a 1oz bar vs a 1oz coin, are all the coins mostly for collectors of coins vs gold stacking? If I am just looking to hold on to the gold, should I just get the cheapest coins from a major mint?

Is there a long term depreciation if you keep coins in tubes where they may get scuffs vs keeping them in individual cases? (I'd prefer the space savings of tubes)

Does it make sense to keep things closer to 1oz vs going for a big bar - ie. too difficult to sell a 1kg bar for example?

Works for gold:
- For new generic bars, note the premiums (added charges) over spot: they go up for smaller pieces.
- Some beautiful generic items are priced comically high (Germanias, GSM special editions, e.g.). Regardless, dealers may categorize and price these as "generic" (below or at spot) when buying them from you. Or your gamble might pay off if they become highly regarded (Englehard, PAMP, antique miners/refiners, e.g.).
- The firsts of new artful or theme bullion series are often missed by later collectors, who may pay high premiums to fill in gaps. Caution: political or cringeworthy themes are less likely to appreciate.
- Low-mintage series are often priced very high, but may in time increase in value the most.
- Gov't-issued coins cost least during the mint run. Once ended and dealers run out of stock, their prices often jump, then rise only a bit faster than generic silver.
- Annual changes to overall designs become series (Somali elephants, Canadian Wildlife, Australian kookaburras or koalas, island nations' series, etc.), adding potential appreciation.
- Maples, Eagles, Wieners, Britannias, etc. are nice and boring, but recognition helps sell to customers more comfortable and confident buying them.
- If you buy pieces that appeal to your sense of art, taste, and interests, you will still appreciate them even if the price or value of the PM goes nowhere. Caveat: if you go to sell, it's harder to let go of them.
- Shipping is an added premium. Many online vendors offer free shipping for purchasing a minimum amount (commonly $200). Your local coin shop has no shipping to charge.
- Vendors may charge extra for using a credit card. That might balance (ebay!) if your card offers cash back.
- Keep all sales receipts and a spreadsheet of your purchases to track profit/loss: it's quite revealing and may help guide future decisions. Example ("PurchaseRecords" tab):

>Does it matter what form of gold you buy?
I always prefer coins, but will buy bars if the price is too good to pass up. Latin Monetary Units usually have the lowest markup (premium). See:
>>55683816
>Like is there any different between getting a 1oz bar vs a 1oz coin
Coins have the potential for numismatic increase (though not the above mentioned LMUs).
>are all the coins mostly for collectors of coins vs gold stacking?
I consider LMUs for stqacking, and I collect the nice Eqast Caribbeqan 8 for their aesthetics and numismatic potential. Pic related.
>If I am just looking to hold on to the gold, should I just get the cheapest coins from a major mint?
Expecting numismatic appreciation is akin to speculation. Your choice.
>Is there a long term depreciation if you keep coins in tubes where they may get scuffs vs keeping them in individual cases?
How much do you expect to shake them up?Alternatively you can get very thin plastic foam or archial paper (no acid) and cut disks to separate the coins in the tunes.
>Does it make sense to keep things closer to 1oz vs going for a big bar - ie. too difficult to sell a 1kg bar for example?
Maybe. I do have a bunch of 2.5 gram PAMP bars because thy might be easier to sell. But coins with numismatic potential are my happiest purchases.

The main thing I was wondering if the artfulness of bars/coins is just something that coin collectors appreciate and that is it, because there is such a huge variety of coin designs especially. I have no interest in speculating on particular designs being valuable in and of themselves. I will probably stick to Eagles and Maples.
Appreciate the other info as well.
